So, about the characters...
Tripwire, is there a reason we have only one female character, Ana, and so many males? We right now have eleven male characters, including the two from other games. Is there a reason you haven't added, say, Mrs. Foster or Ash Harding from the first game?

I don't want to go into some heavy handed thing about equality or the like, but I do run into a lot of people who want to play female characters and, well, having a small army of Anas can be a little weird, especially when you're the Medic and you need to actually read people's names rather than recognize them based on their character model.

Well, that and I liked Ash Harding in KF1. I'd love to see her return sooner or later in KF2.

I am surprise we have that many free characters. There will be more, but I bet they will make most future characters mini DLCs like the first game.

Only more expensive :(
does it matter what character you play aside from voice? Aside from loading into a game, you'll only evr see your arms, and your dead body (if you die), and nothing else. I wouldn't mind Ashe coming back to KF2, but who knows. Maybe they will even add that robot as well

Not really, but we as players can't get the things we want if we don't ask for them. How is Tripwire to know we want Ash Harding back if no one says so? How are they to know we want specific guns back if we say nothing? We have to ask for things if we expect to get them.

For me, it's that I usually play a Zerker or Medic. And the game can get confusing if more than one person is playing Ana, especially if they're using the same colors. Sure, I could look at their weapons to figure out who is playing what or just read their name or whatever... But it's a lot easier to remember the Zerker is playing Ash while Ana is a Firebug, so I know who to heal the most on sight. Having to read names or look at weapons can slow me down if I'm a Medic.

If that's not enough of a reason, well, lots of people are currently playing as Ana. Having a large roster of characters allows people to express themselves differently. And if you want to play a female, the same one everyone else is using, with only a few minor color variations, well... it kind of cheapens the wish to express oneself.

I mainly just want to play as Ash again. I liked her.

They did a poll some time back, but I think it was ignored. Since I don't see any KF1 chars coming back soon, (which was the most wanted in the entire poll).

Real talk though - nobody should really care for the gender of the character as long as the character looks cool. And so far all the characters look cool.

Yeah, this is really bad. Can we also have transgender and nongender characters in the game pls? kthx.

P.S.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S2HRYYZoko

But I totally get it. In a world where you need pure muscle to survive, there should be at least 90% female characters. That makes it more believable.

Who the ♥♥♥♥ cares if you are playing as a male or a female? You can only see your hands and your corpse, like wtf.

Edit: Just saw your steam profile. *sigh*

It's kind of funny, people always say "Well a guy is more likely to survive because more guys learn how to shoot/fight and have more upper body strength" but they're also likely to sacrifice themselves to save their wife/daughter etc. So it'd probably even out or even have more women left. I think it'd be interesting to see more female characters. Especially in TWI's awesome steampunk style.

Probably because zombie apocalypses (Yes, i know these aren't zombies) need to have a last woman on Earth.

Yeah, I figure more female characters wouldn't hurt, at the very least.
Bonus points if it's a woman of color and/or wearing some proper protective gear.
