Killing floor 2 tip for higher difficulties, xbox controller is better
You can use an xbox controller really well with kf2. What is great about a controller is that this game has a built in aim assist that can utilized by zooming in and out with the left and right triggers on the controller. This allows for quick kills. I ussually with the gunslinger and commando get the most kills and do the most damage in most games. It is very hard to quickly zoom in and out with a mouse and achieve that lock on.. I am also the one who manages to hit the fleshpound with lots of damage. The biggest downside is that the mouse is much faster in terms of sensitivity. So if u have good muscle cordination and twitch skill, then mouse is much better. If you are like most players and are average at shooters I highly reccomend the xbox360 controller.

Another thing I noticed is that Hans usually kills players with the guns, frag grenades and melee. To stop him from melee which can take down most players, get out of the line of sight. Hans when he encounters players at range who broke his los will start to throw grenades before anything else. (He sometimes uses guns which can be easily avoided by ya know, cover. If the team needs breathing room, it is important not to get split up. Have a team leader and route planned out. The team follows the team leader around the map when kiting the boss. These tips ussually work for my friends and I when dealing w
hard fights.

It works out like the OP said. Did you try it yourself? Can't verify the Hans tip yet.
There's nothing to try or discuss. Gamepads aren't precise enough for fps games. This is well established fact. His achievements say everything that needs to be said. Every HoE perk achievement. No difficulty for any map beaten. Not even normal. That's what it looks like when you have spent your entirety of game time on only perk leveling maps. Now ask yourself, is this the person i want to take "higher difficulty" tips from?

I think I'll take the advice from someone who appears to be respectful and isn't trying to start trouble. As for yourself, you're very close to making yourself look foolish over this gamepad vs KB/M nonsense.

lol so this is why my friend who sucks at shooting games is almost keeping up with my kill count, hope they fix this broken aim assist so you guys will actually have to play the real way

Of course, it's foolish to know that gamepads are atrocious in fps games. How silly of me to play in vastly superior ways.

Look, i get it. It's monday. You're bored. But, surely you have something better to do than defend ridiculous statements on the steam discussions. Either way, you are going to have to find someone else to play with. I'm not spending all night debating if the earth is round. It just is.

I wish a mod would delete this thread. The last thing i need is people with controllers in my games. I can't imagine worse advice for a fps game. Might as well have said, to improve performace delete system32.

why because my opinion disagrees with yours? I'm sorry but the fact is when I go into games and get 100+ more kills than the average player and do better with a controller than with a mouse the facts speak for themselves. Like I said if u are good at shooters, then u don't need a controller for the aim assist. I am average and play more xbox than I do computer fps games so I am used to controller. If it doesn't have controller support i use xpadder. The only game I haven't used a controller on are MMO's and the first killing floor.
What games? You are only playing on perk leveling servers. I bet you do amazing on tf2 idle servers as well.

Look at my achievments again, I have one map beaten on hoe, and thats the black forest map. My rl friend showed me an amazing kiting route that easily applied on any difficullty. I did it solo with all my characters. As for the rest I'm working on them. I'm tackling farm, on suicidal using by kiting around and through the barn. It sort of works. I keep losing though, but I'll figure something out. I plan to have all the achievments in a couple of months or so. Using a controller, because it is beter.

Ignorance. I have used a controller for years and been successful. I have started using the KB and M exclusively for fps though. Here is a video i did using a controller.

You're not going to win an argument against someone who thinks a controller is better, it's not because you're wrong it's because the person you're arguing with is too stupid to get ♥♥♥♥ through their thick skull, you'd have better luck with a brick wall.

Calling someone stupid because they disagree with your stance, shows your intelligence. Controllers in killing floor 2 are decent because of the aim assist. If KF2 did not have the aim assist then, yes, mouse would be better. It depends on the game. If you wish disapprove via imperical evidence then try using a controller and see for yourself. Please don't call others stupid instead show us your intelligence by posting a well constructed arugment.

I use my racing wheel and peddles, brake is fire , gas is ads.
Once you set your height with the throttle you can head shot pretty easy with the wheel

You are not hardcore enough, and neither is OP.

Bud, you are doing it wrong, I play KF2 with my Logitech flight stick, with my eyes closed relying on my 5.1 sound system to headshot zeds hundreds of meters away, that's where it's at.

Hmmmm... I see your point, I am going to have to play using the numpad alone, only then will I be able to reach a state of exalted hardcoreness I have been craving so much.

The thing is, gamepads are precise enough for fps games. If you're good. I use a controller for every game except point and click games and games like Age of Empires. Controller will never be as accurate as a mouse, but they are definitely precise enough for fps games and to get headshots, you just have to not suck with them.

thank you! It's a metter of player experience. I grew up on consoles, I just got into pc gaming a couple of years ago. Mostly for modding and arpgs. I've used a mouse for kf2. I'm ok with it, It's easier for me to use a controller because I grew up with them. I just got done in a game on hard. My team died in wave 10 with 3 scrakes and 2 fp's left. I was the medic, so the speed boost helped, but I killed everything and then on Hans they all died and I kited him around for half of phase 2 and all of phase 3 healing, b4 I killed him WITH A CONTROLLER. I would have been the player who got stuck in a corner and died with a mouse. I can concentrate on the screen not on the keyboard.

Can someone tell me why this is a hotbutton issue. I did not think this would be a problem. I heard pc gamers were picky about their tech different mouses and keyboards they use but good god.
