Why not just let us choose our character, class and ultimate? Thats three layers of player customization that could be there but now its only one.
They REALLY need to make it work well for this game to not be DOA
I pick characters with voice lines with my favourite weapons because i play a lot of M14 sharp i like Mr and Mrs foster, but i know Anna has lots of voice lines for demo and firebug weapons and doesn't Tom bannard have a bunch for zerk weapons.
I imagine we'll be getting voice lines for those abilities too and having it tied to a character means you save a LOT of time doing voice lines. Like you have 10 character abilities, you have 10 voice lines, if you need EVERY character to make the call out then you need 100 voice lines (10 characters x 10 perks).
Im more nervous about the abilities. So far we've seen 2 and both look lame as hell if im honest. Fosters is a bile spewing sentinel, gross. And the other is a EMP mine, eh.
Im also more nervous about if we can have multiple of the same characters. Like if someone picks Mr Foster does that mean no one else can? or are we going to be running around with multiple of the same character?
Hell that's not even mentioning the other problems I have with the game (from what has been shown so far of course).
honestly sounds ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful
I can only hope they reverse course, at least on the class system, but I'm expecting nothing more than a generic, micro-transaction filled, hero-shooter-based flop.
Less zeds? Slower zeds? Not being able to play any character with any class? Who asked for this? Certainly not the playerbase that plays both killing floor 1 and 2. I'm also not a fan of being most likely forced to use ziplines, to me that ruins the pacing of the game on top of the already less and slower zeds.
I hope devs read feedback from players such as myself that have 1000+ hours in killing floor 2. I for one want more zeds not less. Killing floor 2 already doesn't have a very high max spawn count but at least they are fast.
I dont know what they mean by less zeds - in the trailer video they say the opposite.

Time stamped at about 2:20 the guy literally says theres more zeds on the map at a time compared to KF2.
I guess because there are some zeds missing? I dont think we've seen stalkers (ironic), Sirens, Quarter pounds or EDAR's or any of the albino zeds, Rioters, gas crawlers or gorefiends.
As for slower, this could be because of the new objective game mode they seem to have now and ofc difficulty, they always have someones mum using a controller playing on babies first FPS for trailers so that the games slow and you can see everything more clearly - although for anyone that plays games it does end up making the game look... well just like that.
But they also say that the zeds have more varying heights so making it a tad slower will make it easier for people to pop heads as you cant spam at "head height" as effectively (kinda like in KF1).
Husks flying or using rooftops is a huge QoL change, instead of being on ground level shooting through the horde at you - now they are going to pop up for you to see letting you kill them quickly or at the very least - not shoot and rage their own guys.
“It used to be that there were tons of Zeds but they were all very similar in height and so you could just line up heads and start shooting," Wynia says. "It’s something players love to do, and it’s something we love to do too. But we wanted to increase the danger, and so Zeds now more like unique challenges, chess pieces that we’re serving up to players.
“There are less Zeds now and the pace of combat is a bit slower, but now you’ll have to deal with problems like the fact Husks can fly now, and they’re shooting down at you from various rooftops.”
