Eh I agree, but who knows, it might actually be good. To me it seems like it'll be too clunky and annoying.
However, feature creeping this up and wasting time on PVP before completing and polishing the actual dynamic that made the franchise and sold us on the game in the first place is kind of harebrained.
id say it wuold be along the l4d way, players control the various zombies v's the other team of players

You did know that the devs didn't want to just make another killing floor, they wanted to make it different. Hence why they experimented with zed teleportation/different doors to completely change the flow of the game. I'm not sure why you would buy into this if you aren't happy with the current content.
If they are going to add a pvp mode it would be harebrained not to test it before full release where they can still drastically change systems without getting backlash. For example, if theres some kind of ranking system solely for this mode, they may have to reset it for everyone to collect data if they change how the ranking works.
KF is COOP SURVIVAL first, other things later.
IMHO they should work on making the COOP SURVIVAL part fun, balanced and polished before goofing off on things nobody asked for; things that can be added later.
Killing floor 1 is coop survival, killing floor 2 on the other hand is not the same game.
If you bothered to read the Steam store description of KF2 when you bought it;
you wouldve realized that their plans ARE to focus on the COOP SURVIVAL part.
That is why I bought the game in the first place.
No mention of this PVP BS over there....again, I dont mind the inclusion of PVP MODS at some point....but finish the core damn game first FFS.
TWI disagrees with you. From the KF 2 store page
The mention COOP player vs zed several times. They also say it is the successor to KF 1. TWI never said prior to release nor since release until their January WWAUT anything about PVP.
In addition, TWI said that PVP was not an official mod, it was made by people in their off hours, so it should be essentially the same as a community mod.
KF 2 is at its very core a CO-OP survival game of player vs environment. Anything else is a side dish. If it were known that a PVP mod was slowing down development on the core CO-OP mode, that would be an issue.
Look at the video before talking, people have asked for this for years. People want to play as the zeds and the devs finally bring it out. The core game mode is finished only the rest of the perks and more maps are missing. If you dont like this pvp style game mode that is coming then dont play it.
1. Played KF 1 for years, very few people asked for it.
2. Until all the perks are done and the game is balanced and the issues with teleportation, autorage, FP rage mechanics, door welding are fixed, the game is FAR from finished.
No one wants PVP that is a true KF fan. Maybe some COD cross overs.
I see that you are very pissed how the game gets developed for no real reason because well....its not your game.

I am one of the few people who seem to have actually read the store page before I bought it (from some people who seem to think that this is currently meant to be an alpha more like arc/rust etc.) but I didn't ever say that kf2 wasn't coop survival, but that it isn't kf1. Just because something isn't on the store page doesn't mean that it won't be included, and it doesn't change the fact that its stupid for them to have an environment like this where they are able to drastically change the game without backlash because it is not fully released.
