Playing firebug in MP

I've been playing this game with friends and just started playing in random lobbies.

I really like the firebug in single player, but am worried about using him in MP. I like to be a team player and I'm not sure how his weapons effect everyone else.

How much friendly fire damage does he deal? And is it just from ground fire? I'm especially cautious when there's a berzerker in the mix, and I'm holding my fire so much that I feel that I'm not pulling my weight.

Can the more experienced people give me some firebug etiquette?

as for ur question. you deal no friendly fire with ANY perk at all, UNLESS the server got modified to have friendly fire, by default the game got no FF.

again no, ground fire has no effect, refer to the point above.

you don't need to hold fire, you tap fire, save ammo, kill more.

That's one of the reasons I like this build. Burn the small ones to ash... boil the big ones from within!

-ff is not a thing in many servers, and fb is unadvised to play as in those servers either way due to it's chaotic root and afterburn within his weapons

-in ff servers the ff damage comes from all kinds of damage done, afterburn especially

-do not caulk/flamethrower/mwg gigants outside of emergencies/heat wave stumbling, waste of ammo due to body damage and fire panic for gigants making them erratic in thier movement, and possibly causing them to get behind you/focus on someone else in your team

-your ground fire will blind and possibly disorient players, be wary on how you spray fb weapons, and figure out how to lane with classes that don't rely on headshotting

-the helios rifle and the spitfires are your safest choice if you're interested in doing actual gigant takedowns

there's more to say about fb, since he's a complex class on some degree, but these are base pointers to follow

Just don't try to hog the same lanes as sharpshooter/gunslinger. They rely on accuracy more than anything and headshots are hard when you're crispin the zeds up

Those I know. The SS is my favourite perk. My last match I was support sharing a lane with 2 sharpshooters, and I took the medic shotgun to keep the trash off them and heal them when necessary. I like playing my part on a team.

Spitfires? They're for trash killing, unless you absolutely have to use it on bigs. You should have mentioned the Husk Cannon.
