Hipfiring vs Aiming Down Sights (ADS), The return of EBR
While some of the WWAUT statements sound promising, I was particularly concerned about the following: "dealing un-aimed direct damage to them may not be the most optimal route"

One of the most satisfyfing and relatively skillful aspects of KF has been the fact that the ability to aim well without sights or a reticle can be used by experienced players with speed and dexterity, as there is no punishment for not using the sights (as long as you can aim!). This is particularly relevant to the hitscan classes.

The quoted statement above hints at the possibility of hipfiring having some drawbacks that ADS will not have.
IMHO a headshot should be a headshot regardless of aiming style used....and changing the damage or accuracy will negatively affect the individuals that enjoy SOLO, challenges and other speed/accuracy related game feats.

IMHO as long as you are aiming correctly and hiting the right body part (usually the head, hopefully), there should be no difference between the two.

Thoughts?

I have no idea what any of that section was talking about; how would that even work? Does a gun deal two different damage types now, one for hip fire and one for scoped, or just deal reduced damage when hip firing?

I wasn't sure what it was they meant by that statement. I ain't forming any opinions on it until I can actually play it in game.

If they really do nerf hipfire, we may as well all go back to KF1.

No way man.
I almost want to honestly refuse to believe it.

If hipfiring was nerfed it would absolutely ruin so much of the game.
God, no seriously now, I'm not playing TW, it would a total disaster.
Apart from Sharpshooter, EVERYONE would suffer.

Seriously, if you people want that MIXED to turn into an OVERWHELMINGLY NEGATIVE, crippling hipfire would be a fast way to do it.

man i hip fire heaps in kf2 now, if zeds are close ill hip fire. i hip fire with commando, firebug and support. when i use commando i'll ads for longer distance but firebug and support are exclusive hipfire. unless im in a real pinch i'll hip fire with gunslinger and medic.

100% agree.

Yeah I really enjoy how accurate hipfire is in this game. It feels rewarding to find that "sweet spot" and just dish out headshots on the go. I would hate to see this altered.

Hard to say based on the WWAUT post, but it almost made it sound like some guns might become Scrake stumblers or FP stunners rather than "just spam bullets to the face" but that's just my interpretation of it.
BlackSpawn 2016년 5월 6일 오전 3시 40분
Yeah, most of the WWAUT sounded like things we have been asking for for a while now. Ie. Positive changes and not PVP centric stuff.

However, that one statement struck me as odd.
As long as hitscan hip vs ADS is not messed with it shouldn't be a bad thing.
However, the statement was preceded by "bullets" and in the context of Sharpie.
Hence my concern.

What? "dealing un-aimed direct damage to them may not be the most optimal route", they want to say that it's not very effective to shoot zeds in the body...

They want to change the decapitation system of bigger zeds only (hopefully), that's what they are talking about.
general_windu512 2016년 5월 6일 오전 5시 14분
That wouldn't make any sense ... I mean it's a game and it's not 100% realistic , but why would a gun deal less damage at the same distance just because you didn't aim from the shoulder?
mr.boy 2016년 5월 6일 오전 6시 09분
getting headshots with hipfire is the best feeling ever. especially in zed time.
Blasbo Bibbins 2016년 5월 6일 오전 7시 02분
I'm also worried about what this implies for hip-firing. Right now whenever I have to kite being able to hip fire and deal good damage becomes important. Sometimes I use sprinting backwards in conjunction with nsapping off quick shots without aiming.
Katz 2016년 5월 6일 오전 7시 16분
You know. They could've mean shooting a zed in the body, legs, or arms would meet with more resistance than if you aimed for particularly weak spots? Like clots are now more resistant to damage in the torso, but not the head? Husks backpacks explode more easily but they're still bullet sponges? Bloats die without their stubby, hard-to-hit little legs? Etc. That's my hope, at least. But if they do this, hopefully sharpshooter gets something like the Commando where they can 'see' these 'weak spots' and even 'call out' at later ranks like the Commando's ability to give his squad sight on invisible enemies.
