question about Demolition C4
ok, so i don't completely get it how it suppose to work as it should give the same if not more damage as RPG but that doesn't seem to be the case. i know Commando can see enemy health bars and could clarify that but i personally haven't see Demo with C4 while playing as Commando in action. so does it only damages single enemy with first C4 or just with as much as you can buy/carry in your inventory??? like in boss fight you can buy truckloads of it, place in one spot and then boss walks on it start blowing it like crazy but it doesn't seem to do much damage. and after the match when system shows how much damage you dealt it usually is underwhelmingly low for C4.

The answer to all your questions is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1GDpg2mN1l_86U_RaDug0glFx8cZCuErwxZLiBKl9SyY/edit#gid=2068776317

The cliff notes is this:
- The more C4 you detonate back-to-back, the less damage each C4 does. There's a cooldown timer before they will do full damage again.

Maybe someone will want to explain it in more detail.

C4 does more explosive damage than rpg, but to use it properly you need to work it into a rotation, because of damage cooldown.

example for FP.

throw 2 c4 on him, run out of blast radius, detonate one, grenade stun, rpg+reload, detonate c4, rpg = lots of damge on FP

hard to use that way if your team isnt keeping trash down.

best use on a boss is patty, but only to mark him up like an xmas tree so everyone can see him when hes cloaked.

edited my original post, silly me.

ok, thanks for the quick answers, that explains a lot. but it sounds like a bunch of bs from TWI that had to be sorted ages ago. since C4 costs most of any ammo there is, 100 for one brick and it becomes somewhat usable only after lvl 15 when you get siren resistance as a perk and can buy 6 bricks instead of only 3.

Little tip of mine: Dont refill C4 charges, instead sell the C4 and rebuy it. This way a full refill costs about 150 or so and not absurd 800.

I usually use em like nades when no FP is in sight. Toss em in a group and detonate. It's very effective for closecombat cleaning when your team is about to be overwhelmed by trash.

And don't put C4 on the ground during boss fight, rather stick it to the boss. For example when Hans is healing, you can stick it to his power core quite easily. It also makes the Patriarch easier to spot due to the flashing light.

Don't pick up demo against boss - best decision.
You will just put more pressure on your teammates and make them work harder.

rebuy it seems the way to go, how could TWI miss this? and the dynamite stick trick would be great if it would still stun enemies, since you could clear your distance and detonate it or put on them during this time, but unfortunately it doesn't work anymore after update. i don't know if they removed it permanently or it's just something that will get fixed, because no Commando nor Zerk night vision also doesn't work for quite some time now, although it says in perk bonuses that it should.

dynamite still stun enemies as before. Night vision works as before aswell - hold button for night vision, short click for flashlight

you probably right about night vision, but stun doesn't work anymore on big zeds for sure, been playing for few hours as demo today. maybe you past lvl 20 and have "on perk"? and C4 still doesn't make much sense, in my opinion, if there isn't easy way to place it on your enemies and clear distance, except bosses. it would probably only make sense past level 15 when i got siren resistance as perk and placing it on the ground, playing official maps, where i know for sure from where hordes of zeds will be creeping in.

dynamite was never supposed to stun big zeds unless you use "on perk"
C4 great for "camping style" gameplay. You can place all your charges - back to trader and refill - place again - repeat until you have dosh.
For kiting gameplay demo the worst perk ever - slow, defenceless, huge self damage.
I wouldn't pick him on high difficulty unless you know your team will camp in some good place like prison tower.

If you have left over C4 from the previous wave, you may want to refill your current C4 rather than sell your current C4 and buy it again. Devs put a heavy tax for doing that. I guess really don't want more than 7? C4 per player per wave.

Demo for boss waves is a lot of fun - even with the noted damage resistance. Just make sure you buy an extra rpg (or two) and drop for yourself. You'll be glad you did. :~)

And the perk is not the worst ever for kiting; hardly defenseless. If, and when, you get surrounded the HX pistol or a dynamite stick gives you instant breathing room to escape. It's very intense to try on HOE. It's a lot of fun on Paris. Give it a shot.

dynamite gives you instant death if you get surrounded. Only with armor you will survive.
I didnt say its not fun, but it makes your team work harder, than if you got "real" perk for boss fight. Its the worst perk for boss, no matter what you will do
