Help setting up KF2 Server - Not showing up in Browser

So I've tried probably a dozen times to get a real live server up and running. I have a Windows 8 Box running in the other room hooked up to my router, the FIREWALL IS DISABLED and I have the most up to date server downloaded (version 1040) with the "-beta" tag enabled. I made sure the Steam port, Game port, Query port, and Webadmin port are being forwarded from my router to my server which has a staticly set IP. The server launches, has a steam ID, and I can open the web admin interface for it. However, when launching KF2 it never shows up in the browser or the LAN menu. A few times (a few months ago) I managed to get it to show up in the LAN and I could play locally, but it never showed in the public browser. Now it won't show up at all. Can somebody please help me out? Thanks!

You said v1040, the latest preview beta is actually v1042. Since it doesn't match with your game version it won't show up in your browser. At all.

Hm... but I did the steam command to update the app, and add in the -beta. It said the app was fully up to date. Do you know how to type in the beta install command exactly?

you dont just do - beta, you need the full thing like: app_update 232130 -beta preview

make sure when you launch the server that you get a steam game server UID after it loads the first map. If you dont' get one, exit server, exit steam, and try again.

Ok, so it still won't show up. And I did verify it has a Steam ID. Please see attached links:

That shows the ports I forwarded and a snapshot of my server ID. This is seriously pissing me off, as it seems no one else has had such an issue getting this to work.

Also is there a way to manually go to an IP of a server in KF2 console?

Your image shows version 1040, my server runs at 1041. Trust me I had a lot of problems getting it set up and its confusing-- I dont' really have a grasp of whats going on. Make sure you update the server though

Shortcut: C:\KillingFloor2Server\steamcmd.exe +runscript kf2_ds.txt

kf2_ds.txt contents:

// update_kf2_ds.txt
//
login anonymous
force_install_dir ./KillingFloor2Server
app_update 232130 -beta preview
exit

Obviously change the file path to yours

Well, when all else fails just install a brand new server I guess. I installed to a brand new directory, booted it up, and without a single hitch my server showd up in the browser. Haha! Thank you all for your assistance, I greatly appreciate it! Oh, and feel free to join my server, it is called Ian's Floor of Killing (just sort by name). Yes. The image needs to be 512x256 and a .png file type too I believe. If you don't have the image right, the welcome screen won't show at all. Clan motto doesn't work. Link doesn't work using the Web Admin, but works if you edit using the config. The body of text works of course. Here's an example and take note where I put spaces:

Welcome to my server/n /nPlay nice and share dosh/n /nAdd us to your favorites/n /nHave fun!

Shows up as:

Welcome to my server

Play nice and share dosh

Add us to your favorites

Have fun!
