Some of these are pretty good alternatives. Which ones have 3 rnd burst or single shot capability?
I haven't actually seen the OTs-12 in a game, as far as I know, and figured it would be a decent starter weapon.

In my oppinion the commando starting weapon does not need to be burst or single shot weapon, so long as it has smaller mag and maybe slightly less damage than Bullpup, then it can be automatic.
Most of those weapons listed are usualy associated as smg and AUG would be wonderfull later tier weapon, ruger would propably be cheaper and weaker alternative for the M14 (for shaprshooter).
And just like you mentioned, the OTs-12 would be perfect starting weapon, as it has smaller mag size and debatable damage output. It would not be as strong as the other ones but it fits as starting weapon.
Yeah, i know that the AR-15 in this game is the smg variant.
And while its good and all that you chosed to search similar weapons, they would be more suitable for swat (as would the Colt 9mm SMG) . However rifles as always suit the commando and the OTs-12 is a realy good suggestion.
