Demolition the strongest perk?
As a level 25 demo on suicidal 6 players:

Weapons:

+ m79 nade launcher handles all trash + medium zeds. plenty of ammo and fires fast.
+ RPG can ~2 shot scrake.
+ RPG can kill FP in 4 shots.
(~20 RPG capcacity & ~32 m79 grenades)

Nuke skill:

+ everything dies..
+ 1 rpg on a FP decemates it to nearly 0 health.

+++ place c4 on your favorite boss and watch them instantly die during zed time.


+ did i mention demo gives free nades to teammates and makes welded doors go boom?

only few draw backs to demo:
- the arming distance of explosives
- Hx25 is a skittle launcher
- missing shots is more costly to player.

all of which can be dealt with by player's skill.

So i just insta killed Hans with RPG on Outpost. might be just a bug and not sure exactly how to do it successively. I shot him in the head with rpg in early segment of boss fight and sent him flying in the air like one does to FP before it rages(?). He flew out of map and died.

It definitely feels that way. A demo can easily blast a team out of a tricky situation, take care of the trash and kill the scrakes/FPs.
The only thing it isn't good at is carrying the team when everyone has died, but even an expert Zerk will have trouble pulling that in HoE (unless at the end of the round). And with a decent Demo on the team it usually won't come to that anyway.

Normal, there was nothing wrong with demo even with all the nerfs to nuke, it was still good the way it is. The m79 however was definately the most glitched weapon (dud nades), but with the reduced weight of RPG, it is definately one of the better perks now for dealing with trash and big zeds like in KF1 and the m79 is way better than before (haven't had a dud nade since sharpshooter release). I still want the m32 though as the m203 is still horrible for its cost and damage just like in KF1 for HoE.

Gunslinger is probably the strongest perk at the moment because:
-overpowered lvl 5 skill
-Killing Sc with ease
-Killing Fp with ease
-Good at killing all kind of zeds
-Movement speed
-Ammo efficiency

Second strongest perk for me will be zerker because of similar features, then class like support, commando, demo and SWAT. Medic is not in the list because it's essential and not comparable.

I used to love demo, but since the nerf of nuke in the v1042 preview and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ lvl 10 skill, I find it a bit lacking in comparison to gunslinger. There is nothing wrong with demo though, just that there are classes that can do better.

Demo is definitely my favourite and has always been. It wrecks anything if played right. Now that you can carry M79 and RPG at once, it only got easier.

Should be more emphasis on getting the direct hit damage weakness with scrakes. Make them more resistant to explosives but still weak to the direct hit and add weakness to the grenade launcher direct hit by 3x

Maybe demo is easier to use? Also an extra 25% damage at lelvel 5 is pretty OP. That reload skill is knockdown spam city. Its fun knocking down Patty with that.

Wouldn't consider the 25% damage OP, it makes the perk more viable in killing FP and clean up small zeds.
I don't feel that demo is easier to use, you are more susceptible in close quarter. When zeds like gorefast and crawler get closed to you, they can ♥♥♥♥ on you hard. You kinda need more awareness on the team, otherwise, you will easily be the first to die in a heated situation.

The class is good (probably the best) at boss round, i agree, but it's not the strongest at the moment.

If there would be any perk that could be considered the "strongest" (which makes it an easy time, if you're playing solo or your team dies) then that would be gunslinger. I'd consider Demolitionist a glasscannon (thus the most vulnerable). RIP if you're the last one alive on 6 man HoE.

It depends on your playstyle of course. It does the most damage, so on Normal and Hard its probably better than all other classes. But as soon as you play on Suicidal or HoE damage isn't as important as just being a helpful teamplayer. And the Demo is kinda useless with small groups of zeds because you cant waste your ammo on those.
I dont know.. I find the firebug and support much more helpful and adaptive to most situations

It's almost, almost OP, the old weakness of needing range is greatly diminished by that you can use the pistol now as a defensive tool without taking any explosive damage.

There is no zed that is really resistant to explosives, this one is unfair, i think that at least SC and husk,bloat should be.

just a detail in the OP, FP dies on 3 rockets, and you can use stun nade, or knockdown RPG to buy a lot of time, also now with increased weapon change speed, C4 combos are viable.

- Hx25 is a skittle launcher: really not true anymore.

drawbacks could be:
-bugged fragmentation skill
-no explosion resistance on HOE.

and thats about it.

yes Demo can waste ammo on small groups. ~32 m79 grenade capacsity allows spam entire round. i send shots to groups of 2 as well; don't forget about the back up pistol too.

Demo is a great teamplayer; it gives nades to teammates and makes welded doors go Bang~!
it helps stumble and destroy zeds approaching or surrounding your team.

you can't judge a co-op game on a solo basis. all you have to do is stand behind a teammate or not and blast away. Even if Demo can't handle 6 man HoE team wipe; that is only one negative. if there is like ~50 zeds (including FP and Scrakes) or so left; then demo can pull it off.

- Movement speed is not that important if your team is camping; movement speed matter if you're on the run away from something like a boss. if you're team is overrun your just leaving them behind.

-level 5 skill is not OP; gun switch speed or reduced head bob + movement speed with Iron sight use.

-Demo can kill both Scrake and FP with ease; however Demo doesnt need headshots on FP.

-Demo can kill all zeds easily including bosses

-Nuke skill only makes killing things a lot easier and quicker

-Hardly more ammo efficient than other perks.

-Current level 10 demo skills are great.

if you apply the same amount of skill needed for zerker to the Demo perk then close quater battle with Demo is just as easy; unless its a FP.

if you play demo enough and learn the arming distance you can wipe gorefasts and all trash in close quarters with m79.

i think that the slinger l5 skill that is OP is the zero recoil. overall the gunslinger is probably stronger but needs some more skill to reach full potential. either way very different types.
