How come stronger
I will credit the resistances with just one thing at least: they're the only annoying feature that makes the game harder in a fair(?) way.
Resistances? Sure, it's harder, but at least it is so in a plain manner. No tricks, no smoke and mirrors, nothing like that. It's not what I'd call "cheap". Annoying? Yes. Cheap? Not really, not when compared to other things.
Meanwhile, knockback?
Oh yeah, my tall strong fit German war veteran, weighed down by his weapons and gear, gets swiped by a crawler paw and goes flying three metres across the room. Really? No.
Meanwhile, teleporting?
Oh yeah, that Siren I set on fire and ran past six seconds ago in the Paris subway has now magically appeared in front of me at the cafe, still burning. NO SHE DIDN'T TELEPORT, SHE RAN AT LIGHT SPEED AROUND THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MAP WHILE BURNING TO CATCH YOU HERE. Really? No.
Honestly, at times I feel like HOE is only as hard as it is not because of genuine challenge, but because of gimmicky nonsense like that.
Oh, and before some wiseguy comes running up and says LMAO I BET UR JUST COMPLAINING BECUZ YOU CANT GET GUD XDDDD, check my stats and then shut the hell up.
No I wouldn't say that.
I've seen pubbie HOE games go down where nobody knows anybody but we manage to get down and keep it down and win the match. It's rare, but it happens, when the right people coincidentally come together.
I find the HoE 'artificial difficulty' to be lame which spoils the experience due to predictability.
Just play the game at the diffculty that feel's the best for you and leave the highst one to those that feel they have something prove, I mean what are you missing execpt an achivement that does absolutely nothing?
Now if none of the other diffculties sate the challenge you need and HoE is too hard/tricky that's a pretty big problem and an issue of having diffculties that have far too big a differnce from each other only really fixable by adding more diffculites.
