Still need to aim and hit headshots. Look at that abomination that is the new SURV weapon. THATs cheap.
Downsides are the wonky red dot, rather long reload, slow RPM and that it delays your build because of the ammo cost unless you are tap firing all early game.
imo that gun is too overpowered and need to be nerfed
Apparently if a weapon is part of the base game it doesn't have to be balanced according to the community's ♥♥♥♥ logic. People got mad that it got nerfed and it's still op..
The two Zeds the 36C has a significant advantage over is Rioters as it ignores their head armor and the current seasonal version of husks in their full-body suits of armor. Abomination is a little easier to kill with it as some of the damage goes to its HP rather than all of it being eaten by armor plates until they break, but I'd also argue dealing damage to Abomination is usually the least of your worries as that fight is more about not letting it overwhelm you with its AoE poison nonsense and maintaining crowd control.
But I personally think assault rifles and SMGs have always been extremely lenient on recoil since launch in this game. The only ones that really jerk your aim around are those with extra gimmicks for off-perks like the M16 grenade launcher or 401 healing darts. Burst fire in this game is also super janky. It's either borderline unusable as each bullet immediately hits you with the full recoil completely throwing off the subsequent shots, or you have FAMAS which does have the tight grouping but basically zero recoil at all. I assume they couldn't figure out a good solution in-engine to have realistic recoil behavior on burst fire, as the idea irl is that you have three rounds leave the barrel in an extremely tight grouping before the recoil is actually felt by the shooter, but then they are obviously hit by the force of three bullets at once.
More importantly, it one shots Stalkers on body shots and one shots Gorefiends to the head.
And yeah G36C meets the 50-damage breakpoint, but it's not an exclusive club on SWAT either. Most notably, UMP has the same base damage for two less weight and a similarly capable holo sight which may be useful in making space for alternatives like a 201 to supply team healing, but sacrifices about 35% of the total ammo pool 36C has available.
EDIT: I need to make a minor correction that I hadn't mentioned because I forgot about it, Stalkers have a 10% damage resistance against SMGs, so specifically against them UMP fails to meet the one-shot kill requirement at +0. This can be corrected at +1 where it'll meet that damage requirement for a somewhat less favorable 6 weight over the G36C's 7 still, but if paired with the 201 this leaves you at 6 weight to spare, just enough for a Kriss without upgrades as your DPS machine.
