The hypocrisy of Demon Hunter
They license their music out to Tripwire to play by default in TW's game and then claim copyright and monetize for themselves videos of said game that have their music playing. I left it in there because the music is nice to hear while playing, but then they go and claim ownership of the videos which throws ads into the gameplay. Isn't that just a tad hypocritical?

If you use copyrighted content in a video some owners of that content will get the ad revenue from your video due to their content being in said video. It allows people to use copyrighted content but not for personal gain.

Yes, it's the band going through every single upload on YT to get add revenue...

It's totally not an automatic thing that has been going on for years on YT...

See the original Party Hard. That game has a soundtrack meant for YouTube, and a soundtrack for normally playing the game.

It gets their music out there and the music is obviously not the focus of the video. I don't mind listing musical credit if requested to do so but I really don't know who's who when it's playing either. I guess the easiest thing for me to do is disable music. Nice job Demon Hunter and YouTube!

Better than a DMCA takedown notice no?

Its not a problem with the band itself, but problem with youtube algorhytms. They block everything. It even monetizes or blocks music uploaded by its real authors.

It is Youtube's system doing this. It does this lot.

Okay, to assume that just because an album from a band is in a video game, that it's not gonna get you brapped by YouTube's copyright system is kind of ignorant, so I'll explain it in detail. Killing Floor 2 plays the songs in their entirety, which is exactly what YouTube's bots look for. They slap you with the copyright strike/claim and go on their way. It's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ you have to turn off vocals/music entirely to record, but it makes sense.

It's a bot, you dolt. The band didn't claim ♥♥♥♥. It's a YouTube problem that's been going on for years.
