Core gameplay loop is getting stale
At this point the whole "shoot things until the end of the round, then buy guns, then shoot more things again" is getting really boring if you want to keep this game alive.
New guns and maps don't do it for me anymore sadly, so I feel like something needs to be reworked. Perhaps rework gun sounds to give them more kick? Either that or add something fresh. Some of my ideas:

- buffs - buyable items that buff you and your teammates around you when used. Would add a little bit more player interaction.
- airdrops - drops a powerful buff or a weapon with limited ammunition that is unique to the aidrop. Activating an airdrop spawns a miniboss and costs a little bit of money. You can only activate an airdrop between rounds in the buy menu by voting and only once per match. Limited supply of airdrops would make this a tactical choice saved only for a boss or a specific moment.
- weapon customization - probably would be too much work, but it's a common fan request. I for one would prefer this and gun sounds rework over new weapons that all feel the same.

what do you mean? There are only two possible playstyles. You either run around the map, or camp at one spot with your team. There's no way to play differently.

Buffs were orginally MMO thing. Airdrops are an ARMA or DayZ thing. Weapon customization is in most FPS games.

1. Buffs and Nerfs come every now and then, ever Quarter of the year
2. Airdrops is basically just respawning ammo boxes and guns around the map, and if it's zeds, same thing happens on Airship map
3. Weapon customization can't happen, because guns have over 10 seperate weapon parts each, so there needs to be animation overhaul for that, including elite reloads and weapon skins have to be reworked, so Tripwire must have permission to edit skins from workshop creators who made them

are there any more pointless ideas?

I am bored at the game, now I want to ruin it for others as well....

stand your ground mode needs an overhaul, maybe that could be a change to the game play loop

... different gun sounds will make you like the "core gameplay loop" better? How does that even make sense?

There are mods that let you use the kf1 weapon sounds if you really want to...

A new gun model/sound can really add to the gameplay experience.

I agree with the main point, but not the suggestions about airdrops and player buffs. The suggestions take away from the core identity of Killing Floor. While I appreciate new weapons and maps, they're usually something that lasts no more than one or two playthroughs.

The game needs maps with objectives that engage players and provide an enriching experience. Adding a dynamic element to maps helps alleviate the stale "camp, kill, repeat" formula.

Yeah but that is it's core formula. Why did you buy the game, did you expect something else.

That effect is only temporary because of the novelty. When we talk about "gameplay loop" also, it's stricly limited to gameplay mechanics, not VFXs/SFXs/models
