no surround sound
as the title says, game seems to lack 5.1 or 7.1 support and only provides a 2.1 (extremely odd that they would do 2.1 instead of just stereo) signal. which of course means i cant use the audio at all to tell me i need to spin around, because it dosent have any rear channels and just pushes everything to the front. anyone find a working fix for this yet? its quite honestly disgraceful for a modern game to only have stereo sound like this is the 1980's.

only surround you can get is virtual surround on those "5.1" "7.1" headsets that people still to this day don't understand its not real surround. This post on the forums has some people saying they managed to do it but idk, i don't really bother to try https://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/index.php?threads/5-1-sound.89450/

also no chance in hell we get official support in kf2, they said a few times already the game is on its lasts legs. At best lets hope they are working on kf3 with the assumption that they gonna have decent audio support.
so basically no, the game has no surround support whatsoever.

1 logitech, 1 razer, and 1 i cant remember the brand of. they were all produced in limited quantities, had universally bad reviews, and now sell for over $300 even though the wires are garunteed to be unusable by this point. never been able to find any information on any other true surround headphones, i.e. headphones that used 3-5 speakers per ear each hooked to your soundcards analog surround outputs, so they use 3 cables to connect.

KF1 & 2 had native support for EAX I think, for users with Creative sound cards. I think there's legacy EAX support in newer cards/drivers, maybe via Alchemy. But yes, that isn't format 5.1/7.1 mixes available. The console KF2 ports likely have surround, as its typically part of cert/compliance.
