Damage on blue shot is fine, projectile speed needs a huge buff and the switch should be a toggle.
I´ve only encountered 2 problems:
1-there´s an inspect animation that doesn´t show what he´s doing, but if you increase the FOV you can see that he´s checking the magazine
2-the sound is too weak, i´ve played mass effect 3 and that´s what this gun needs, more "wob wobs"
They made surveys, so maybe the people wants it this way
This weapon is quite useful to the horde in keeping a check against the hordes and keeping it busy. It is also fun to see how to push the boss when you take him back and your team liquidates him.
If you are a level 25 Demolitionist, I recommend using the skills: L / L / R / R / R
This will increase more radius and more damage. Of course you will become very vulnerable against the screams of the Siren.
And regarding the Beluga Beat. I consider it very much for trash killing and using it as self defense. And they say that this being HRG is better for the Survivalist.
The beluga... Honestly, I'd rather use ANY perk's default starting weapon than it, actually i'd rather use the 9mm! at least I can drop a clot faster with a 9mm faster than the whole "hit the alt-fire, then fire the weapon" routine (takling that to 1 shot a clot with this took the alt fire, and by that time one can get as many 9mm shots into it as they can click, barring headshots in this example). Just plugging away with it's normal fire takes longer to drop a zed than an 1100 priced weapon should.
The imploder: weak for a 2000 dosh weapon. this feels like a weapon i'd expect to pay 1100-1200 for at the trader. With it's implosion thing, I see it shouldn't do damage like an rpg, but it needs more punch to feel like it's worth using. It's fun to use the alt fire on masses of zeds, but as a main weapon for a demo, the rpg or blunderbuss would be much better, and you can even upgrade those once.
It may not do enough damage against the Fleshpound with 6P, and the Scrake is not highly recommended with explosive damage, but it works well for knocking it out with gravity. But surely I can't imagine doing it at HOE and being in a situation of many Bigs Zeds coming up.
But anyway, everyone has his point of view and even so nothing can beat the RPG-7 for being much more useful than any DLC or HRG, well except the Kaboomstick. But the important thing is that I had fun with this weapon and we could consider DLC weapons as a good meme :/
Beluga is awesome as survivalist. It take a while to get used to this.... power up before every shot, that's very true.
But without this the low wavelenghts would be completely overpowerd. the low frequency is bit of useless as you are not even able to kill trash reliable with it. So i always use low wavelengths ;-)
Imploder is as expected horrible weapon for every precision perk in your team. But it's very nice defensive option against every boss. Compared to other demo weapons like kaboomstick or rpg is weak sure, but both stick and rpg are ofc OP.
