The season pass for all DLC weapons is $30
Without discounts DLC guns were $10 per gun.
That said a singular $30 investment is perfectly fair to me for the hundreds of hours of fun I've had with the game since 2015, not to mention the free content.
When compared.....
If they had charged $100 a gun before the season pass would be an even better deal amirite?
The trick is to significantly overcharge, then if they lower it to just regular overcharging........ now it is a deal
There is no free content. TWI stated that All content has been paid by players thru Zedconomt, paid characters, cosmetic packs, Deluxe Edition, etc
We get community made maps, skins, etc on top of "free" weapons (paid for by players) most of which are reskinned versions of other "free weapons"
Grateful for "free content"? Thank me and every other player who paid for it. Thank the community who developed the maps and skins in the workshop.
When you buy kf2, you pay for the current state of kf2.
There is no legal agreement between you and TWI that they have to update the game.
Just because the player pay for the kf2 stuff doesn't mean we can choose what they will do with the money.
If you bought kf2 6 years ago and never bought anything else for it, you got every update so far without charge. -> Free
Just as side note: I also payed a lot for kf2 related stuff, but i didn't pay for a map or update so far, i payed for skins, chars, weapons.
If you think you payed for KF2 updates, you also payed for every other update of every other Software (except opensource), starting from windows to steam and every single game.
if u really want to buy it just wait for sales
Even if we take the period between full release and the introduction of zedconomy, there has been plenty of free content released.
Since then I bought maybe 2 weapon skins, Chicken Commando suit for the lols and to thank the devs, and that's it. I did my part and I received plenty of gameplay content. So did you and everyone else regardless of whether or not they invested into zedconomy.
Zedconomy is, however, mostly a bad way to invest into the game IMO because I dislike the vast majority of customization items, and they're priced way beyond what I'd pay for them.
A full weapon pack for $30 though? I'm fine with that. That is fair.
Majority of games that aren't sold for full price but get continued updates generally have DLC that either equals or far eclipses the game's original selling point. I think it makes sense. You think about the game that was worth $30 back then compared to the game worth $30 now... in terms of content, it's easily over triple the size
That being said, I think there's just too much mismatched monetization going on... this armory pass is a huge slap in the face to those people who spent $10 per gun all those times. This should've been released first... think there would have been way less push back. I still won't be using any DLC guns on principle of the original release, but the armory pass really isn't that bad, compared to other games and stuff. I think this pass should also include the cosmetic packs they release in the store, personally
Incorrect. Every other game does not have a dozen different montizations. Every other game did not have the developer specifically say all updates MUST be funded by the players or they would not do any. Every other game does not take free community material from the workshop and pass it off as a gift.
TWI makes the updates, they said we paid for them. Send a letter to TWI telling them you disagree with them.
Incorrect.
TWI released an unfinished game. TWI promised that 1 year of support after the full release was included in the price of the game, but all future updates had to be paid by players.
You DID NOT receive free updates in year 1 and 2. Year one was them finishing the game we "pre-paid" , and year two was explicitly stated to be included in the purchase price.
Every player who put 1 penny into the game past the initial purchase paid for every update. Nothing was free as a GIFT from some gracious devloper as a thank you to their supporters. We paid for things, we got things.
I and many, many, many people are not fine with it. Paying as much as the cost of the entire game for weapons? Not only did TWI promise that Zedconomy would fund all future development and support, but they already have several methods of monitization.
I respect your right to feel it is fair. I disagree. What is not up for debate is all content was paid content. Players paid for it. You didn't? Feel free to thank me and all the other players who did pay for it.
