Tell me your survivalist loadoutsǃǃǃ
Survivalist is quite a daunting class to begin playing, and while guides are quite useful I want to know what you guys use. Doesn't need to be meta or anything, if you have a set up that you like to use on survivalist do shareǃ

Primary weapon for me as survivalist are:
HRG Incision, Arc Gen, Killerwatt, HRG Winterbite, Frost Fang, Kaboomstick, rpg
Skills depending on team and weaponloadout.

I like keeping the revolver as a sidearm to earn alot of money because of its cheap ammo, and to run the eviscorator and the m16203 for trash clearing and big zed takedown respectively.

The amount of extra cash you can get just from using incredibly cheap ammo with the revolver can let you help your team out alot, and if you get in trouble or are about to, you can always switch back to your rifle or saw to get yourself out.

good cash earner and good zed slayer.

Skills
heavy weapons training
melee expert
Ammo vest
Zed-plosion
lockdown

Weapons
the pulverizer / Railgun

I go for this when i wanna be self reliant
Melee weapons and the movement speed can be a godsend at dealing with trash and staying on the move. the pulverizer can rag doll zeds in my way or outright delete annoying medium zeds or small crowds. its not too shabby on fleshpounds either.

the railgun its a good high damage all rounder weapon that works on pretty much any enemy. not much more to add

heavy weapons training because the reload speed bonus effects both weapons.
ammo vest becuase you can heal yourself and other if you want, this is really annoying to waste on players that dont stand in the nades long enough expecting them to be as strong as medic perk grenades.

zed-plosion since the random chance to stun can set up take downs

lock down to set up take downs in zed time or slow down a raging large enemy.

the best surv build is one that fits the team comp. If you want to go big zed killer cuz the team doesn't have one or needs one to watch other direction, the best choices are the rpg or railgun and even the new support knuckle duster shotguns i already forgot the name of. Pretty sure melee expert on surv makes them shoot faster as well and if all pellets hit is a 4 shot on scrakes i haven't tested it myself but i saw my friend doing really well with them a few days ago on 6 man hell on earth. A new meta big zed surv build might be the railgun for fleshpounds and the brawlers for scrakes, and then you can just melee trash.

I like to heal here and there, so I usually keep Medic Grenade (great with welded doors, too) and pick one medic weapon (usually Medic Pistol) if I have room for that.

If I want to play safe, I take upgrated Railgun + Hemoclobber + Medic Pistol. But currently I find Hemoclobber way too OP weapon, so I refuse to use it atm. It needs to be nerfted, that's my personal opinion.

Currently my favorite one is Frost Fang with Melee Expert. With that I can take another excellent weapon like HRG Incision, Killerwatt, M16, Famas, even Husk Cannon...

Sometimes I take single Desert Eagle as sidearm since I'm used to use it in that role when playing Demo.
i've toyed with the "M99 AMR + Hemoclobber" setup as a Sniper Survivalist, which worked out suprisingly well (requires the usage of the "Weapon Harness" skill to give yourself extra carry weight)

Yeah surv is a perk where you can watch team comp then make a build either based off explosive damage or precision i would say. If the team needs a dedicated trash killer surv can also fit that role and with a comp of more than 2 big zed killers or more can be more ideal if there's no commando or firebug. Can't forget about how op the 501 can be for cleaning tight spaces with zed-splosion.

RRLLR, Frost Fang + Hemoclobber + Magnum/Dual Shotgun Revolvers/Deagle.

wait you all are for real? :D

I switch to demo usually. But to answer your question: the best way to get this godawful perk to lvl25 so you can stop playing it is to spam the M79 at zed clusters. It's the fastest way. If you actually are the kind of masochist who wants to play this perk you should probably go with shotguns and Medic weapons, accompanied by an RPG. under all circumstances pick the skill that gives you 20 carrying capacity, it's the biggest upside to survivalist.

M99 + KaboomStick. KaboomStick deletes any trash nearby and the M99 makes quick work of big zeds
Spoke Jul 4, 2021 @ 3:45pm
Hemoclobber
Frostfang
Magnum/Deagle+1
Scar/Kriss/Hmtech+2/Bullpup+1

If the team is good:
Pulverizer
Hmtech+2
Deagle
SPX Centerfire+2

As much as people suggest the RPG it's terrible, it's way to inefficient. Don't use it.

M99 is just a worse Railgun on survivalist.
