I don't care about technical aspects...I personally wouldn't mind carrying a 5 man ps4 squad trough some HoE maps by myself. I care about fun and games...There are plenty other games I play with them (I am the only PC gamer among the group) adn I'll keep doing that. If KF can't deliver that, is ok...I don't expect them to. That's all...
then you'll love playing with me. i outclass a lot of M+K players with my controller.
Crossplay would be the deal maker for many people. Too bad it is not on the way.
At least it will be balanced individually...
I know this might start a flame war, but the idea of dubbing down the difficulty on console should not require the pc variant to be identical. There have been several games in the past I've played on my own console or a friends' console and compared it to the pc counterpart. It just validates a few more specific facts on the argument of console vs pc, regardless of either way you decide to go with it...And I'm just going to leave it at that.
Thank you Tripwire for deciding to balance them individually. I still however oppose the lockbox and drop system, but thats another subject altogether which we won't get into here. Enjoy what you can, when you can.
There are only a handfull of game that even come with crossplay support like Rocket League with PS4 good luck with that as Xbox has just a few more support games but there downside thoses which are not PC type game controller game there better around console controller and are 3rd person perspective.
Don't get me wrong I to would love see this happin to.
-Not sure why so many people are against this.
Apparently the PC "Elitists" don't want console "scrubs" in their games making the team lose.
It's really annoying how many PC players have an automatic mindset that a controller player=bad player. I'm not going to deny that a pro player that masters both controller and m+k will statistically get more efficient results than on a controller, but being good on a controller is a thing too. Like I use controller on the PC version and outperform others who use m+k. I just practice with controller a lot, it's my preferred method of gaming.
Edit:To clarify the "Elitists" and "scrub" air quotes so others don't get the wrong idea I said "elitists" because not every m+k player that complains or belittles consoles player are MLG and not every console "scrub" that plays on consoles are bad.
The difference is millimeter precision in regards to tracking and flicking. This is by and large why people assume that mindset for fps games. Hence the need to separate the two platforms.
Also on the contrary, the casual players is where the statistical efficiency is most evident as it's a much larger population. Though it can be said most casual players prefer console controllers as it's much easier to play on a couch with.
-Thanks for the edit, you came off a bit strongly at first. Haha. I usually just say some people. It is much less flamebaity. =P
-Anyway, people forget that there are already controller users playing KF2 on the PC. They don't even realize it. If there was cross platform play, I'm confident those people will still have no idea who is a m+k user and who is a controller user. Sure you can spectate them when you're dead, but you shouldn't be dead. ;] ;]
That and we still aren't sure the PS4 crowd will even really like KF2, I wouldent buy a wedding ring before the first date.
Maybe one day far into the feature cross-platform will be more viable but for right now it's really not, Microsoft has tried to take steps to this once they remembered they owned a OS but their attemps have been questionble at best.
