So, this has two important implications that you should also realize. First is the fact that the 3 second duration does not literally extend. It means that if you are the commando, ideally, you should space your kills out as close to 3 seconds as possible if you want to maximize the length of zed time.
The second key thing is, only the first extension can be made by a non commando. Resets 2 through 6 can only be made by a commando. Which means you may want to avoid stealing easy zed kills frrom the commando to help maximize zed time.
The other classes have like a 5% chance to trigger extensions? I mean... you really need a 25 sharpshooter to increase the probability that Zed time happens in the first place ( via headshots ) and then a demo / sharp / SWAT to one-shot a weak mob to get the first extension with a low 5% chance and then a commando to do a kill every 3 seconds for the rest of the extensions?
That's a lot of comboing?
I once played a game on HoE where the commando had so much control that we were permanently in the Matrix. It was hilarious to experience.
Anyone can trigger Zed time.
Anyone can make the first extension.
Only commando can extend beyond first extension.
So no, there's no really strategy to it. You get rewarded by just doing what you're supposed to be doing, killing and taking headshots.
I think that people have a habit of trying to kill stuff too quickly, during the first 3 seconds.
