My question plain and simple is why does it take a very long time to find an online match and how do I potentially improve my ability to connect to matches if I can?

Before the edit:
Is the reason why it takes 2 years to find a match because of the latest update or does it just normally takes ages?

Well, the reason being as already stated, there are less empty servers avialable.

About improving your ability to connect to matches, use the server brwoser.

dont use the matchmaking thing use server browser if you dont want to end up in korean server with 100000 ping

I would use the server browser if I were you. Any time I try the "matchmaking", it takes forever to find a match and it's usually an empty server on the other side of the world.
