Killerwatt? I just don't get it. How to get the best out of it?
I'm in need of a Killerwatt guide.

When to pick it and when to pass it? Or does anyone pick it at all? Also comments on both firing modes (strong points & weaknesess) would be highly appreciated by me.

And how about the overcharged mode - is it any good, does anyone use it? Good choice when you have the time to overcharge the weapon and a horde of zeds or a swarm of quater pounds is about to attack your hallway lane?

Thanks!

Did you hear a Scrake or Fleshpound roar? Start charging the alt-fire, find a group of Scrakes or Fleshpounds, release the alt-fire. If you are playing solo HoE this will kill them all in one burst.(Assuming you can keep the beam on them) In multiplayer this won`t kill them in one go so you will need to quickly switch to primary fire to finish them off.

Remember that Killerwatt has an excellent piercing ability. For maximum damage it is best to hit multiple enemies with one charged up alt-fire blast.

Don`t bother using Killerwatt against weak or medium zeds. Waste of ammo. Only use it against Scrakes, Quarterpounds, Fleshpounds, and bosses.

Alt-fire is your main damage dealer. Primary is for finishing off anything that survives the blast or for when you simply don`t have time to charge it up.

Killerwatt is one of the most powerful weapons a Survivalist can use. I consider it the best weapon to use when playing Survivalist. Combine it with the Freezethrower. That`s my loadout.

The alt-fire is honestly not worth using. For some strange reason, when firing it it will lower your mouse sensitivity which makes it nigh impossible to switch between targets or if you accidently overshoot.
alt fire

single zapp isn't really worth much sadly.

alt fire sorta helps with everything below scrakes. It doesn't do much for fleshpounds nor bosses. Same boat as the freezethrower. If in the 10% chance you manage to incap a boss with the freezethrower you usually lose 4/5th of your mag and they only stay frozen for like 3 seconds and hanz just seems to thaw out immeidately.

The HRG Incision outclasses the Killerwatt sadly in every way.

The Incision is basically a straight upgrade to it.
It does more damage, the emp is far more effective and it can also heal and kill trash zeds with the healing darts.

Its absolutely broken.

I wouldn't really bother with it myself. I think it's better to use weapons from other perks as a Survivalist than to use his perk weapons. Personally, i've been getting a decent amount of success with Dual Buckshots + RPG + Medic Pistol + Hemoclobber.

The killerwatt is a good weapon if used properly.

The weakness:
1. Cost
2. No reload bonus outside of zed time for survavilst
3. Alt fire does only body damage from my experience.

The strengths:
1. Primary damage is a 50 damage ballistic which can easily decap many zeds with a couple of bullets.
2. 700 Rate of Fire which is faster than every Commando's weapon except the stoner and AK on burst mode.
3. Very low recoil
4. Alt fire is microwave type which is good for every boss.
5. Very safe and easy Scrake takedown.
6. Safe FP takedown if you know how to do it properly.
7. EMP effect.
8. Alt Fire can pierce with no damage reduction.
9. 1 fully charge alt fire can kill 1 single or a group of HOE 6P QPs.

I use this weapon for HOE on survival and endless and it works fine.
To me this is a late game weapon due to the cost.
I use alt fire for mainly QPs and bosses when it is safe.
Primary fire works for every type of zed.

Best weapon? Try an upgraded railgun. The best way to use the killerwatt is to ignore it. If you desperatly need stunning scrakes and fps use a single winterbite. Weights 2kg and will freeze both in a clip.

Railgun can`t kill 5 Scrakes in 3 seconds.(Solo HoE and if you can get them lined up.) Killerwatt can do more damage than the railgun. Railgun you could maybe kill 2 Scrakes with one shot, reload, kill 2 more, reload, etc. The railgun doesn`t even come close. A charged shot from Killerwatt is devastating and under most circumstances (but not all) is Survivalists most powerful weapon.

I`m really starting to think I should write a guide on how to use Killerwatt. So much false information out there. I think this might be an effect of the echo chamber. Some popular youtuber says killerwatt sucks so people start repeating it.

Solo HoE is how I test to see how a guns damage compares to other weapons. Killerwatt wins every time. On 6 player HoE the Railgun won`t somehow become more powerful than Killerwatt. A fully charged shot from Killerwatt will kill a group of Fleshpounds far quicker than a Railgun. How is this not obvious? If you don`t believe me then try it yourself.

Another reason I play solo is so my teammates can`t claim to be "carrying" me. Solo means I must do everything on my own. It really teaches a person self reliance. Can`t blame my teammates for losing when I don`t have any.

On 6p hoe killerwatt is useless againsts fps. Railgun will kill big zeds faster and more efficiently. https://youtu.be/9ecvUCNDNgs

You`re spreading more misinformation. That video was not made while playing on HoE. The survivalist can not kill a Scrake in one shot when playing on HoE with a railgun.(Unless they changed something I`m not aware of.) That video was also using mods and hacks. Show a video of normal gameplay without any kind of cheat tools.

That was also against single targets. The proper way to use Killerwatt is against multiple big Zeds. Show a video of Killerwatts alt-fire against 4 Scrakes on HoE. Then show a video of the Railgun killing 4 Scrakes on HoE.

Edit: LOL. That guy has 999 thousand dosh. Clearly that video is not legit. Show one with out any cheating. I think I`m about to fire up the game and test this. I`m 99% certain a survivalist with a railgun can`t one shot a Scrake on HoE.

That video was made on a test map with 5 faked players, HoE and as a survivalist. You can test it out yourself and get the same results. Im not sure where did you get the idea that i one shot the scrakes since i clearly shot him twice? You don't play this game much.

A single charged beam is not enough kill a scrake on 6p hoe let alone 4 of them. You'd have to get them in a perfect line for that to happen too. You would simply get kicked for raging 4 scrakes.

At :08 you one shot a Scrake. You then do a 180 spin and kill another one.

Indeed, on 6 player HoE one blast from killerwatt won`t kill a group of Scrakes. It will however do more damage than a railgun. It will also bring them close enough to death for you to easily finish them off with the primary fire.

Why would you kick someone for solo killing a group of Scrakes? None of them would be raged.
They would be dead. A Survivalist with Killerwatt doesn`t need any help. They can handle it on their own. You also forgot that Killerwatt would de-aggro the Scrakes.

Almost forgot to mention that lining up several scrakes in a row isn`t difficult. They just slowly walk towards you. Easy to do.

Edit: If you are correct and did not one shot that scrake would only prove my point. The railgun is weaker than the Killerwatt when it comes to taking down several big zeds at once.

Would you care to demonstrate somehow if it's so easy?
