HOW TO REMOVE THE 150 FPS LIMIT FROM MULTIPLAYER?
When playing in multiplayer, the fps is only 150, but playing in solo mode I reach more than 300 fps. Please someone tell me how to remove this limit, I already searched on practically all possible sites and even reviewed the tripwire forum, but I did not find any solution to this problem, on the contrary, I found people who also have the same problem that I but have yet to find a solution. I have a 240hz monitor and it's horrible to play with only 150 fps I can tell the difference. PLEASE BE SOMEONE OF TRIPWIRE SEEING THAT QUESTION HELP ME TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.

NOTE: kf 1 for example was limited to 90fps in multiplayer but had fix for this problem by changing a file in the game folder.

The problem is that the kfgame.ini file does not have a line written "maxframerate = 150" or something like that. But yes MaxSmoothedFrameRate = 62.000000
MinSmoothedFrameRate = 22.000000
bSmoothFrameRate = False

And my fps is unlocked in the game options. I'm telling you, any server that I enter always stays at 150 fps, it's not going to happen, I've even tried to look at the other in the spec mode during the game but it gets stuck at 150. Do you have any other tips for min Koh?

In the KFgame.ini I have : bSmoothFrameRate=True
MaxSmoothedFrameRate=500.000000
MinSmoothedFrameRate=240.000000

try changing your config to that, i'm able to get around 240 fps with that configuration on most maps.

i think some servers hard cap it to 150 so it changes depending on server but not 100% sure on this i remember reading it somewhere tho

This is false

careful, too much fps on KF 2 will overheat your VideoCard, I don't know why, but with unlocked fps, you VideoCard gets much more heat than normal, do the tests if you don't believe me.

i don't understand why you need more then 150 fps? it's not like you can ACTUALLY SEE the difference past 60. But i mean if you want to go ahead don't blame anyone else though if it overheats @op

Rofl, this thread... more fps will increase the temp of the card as long as it doesn’t reach around 90C it should be fine( which it shouldn’t, and if it is you need to increase fan rpm on the card) Also your eyes can easily see over 60fps and probably over 240. I also play with a 240 hz monitor and get around 240 fps though it also depends on map. The difference is very noticeable, 144 looks slightly choppy and 60 is like playing in slow motion

Its not about seeing. Higher framerate = lower frametimes = smoother mouse input

I can't tell if the conversation in this thread is entirely satire, or if you all are just incredibly misinformed. Koh is correct in saying that not only can you quite easily notice framerates above 60fps, even into the high 200s, but that it drastically increases your overall performance.

To put this in a bit of personal context, I've been using a 144hz monitor as my main display for well over 3 years now. Having adopted a 1080ti shortly following its release, I've been able to quite consistently hit or even exceed my monitor's frame rate. Saying that the temperature cost of a higher framerate will melt your gpu is nonsense. While there is a slight temp cost, any average gpu should be able to handle this with absolutely no problem.

In regards to the "inability to even notice higher frame rates", this is simply untrue. How is it that I have a drastic personal performance impact when my frame rate dips if it's impossible to notice? If you're speaking out of personal experience, it's more than likely that you were exceeding 60fps on a monitor that can only draw 60 frames per second. In that case, it WOULD be impossible to notice because you're hitting a hardware limit, not a biological one.

Just... This.

go to ufo test its a site about comparing refresh rates, i have a 240 hz monitor and i can easily tell the difference between all of the different framerates and 60 fps looks like a slideshow in comparison to 240 fps anyway thanks for the actual solution so i can hit 240 fps now

Exactly, the game gets much better than 150 fps, already tried the hint of the above colleagues, but did not solve, still blocked at 150 fps, some other tip please guys?

Exactly you said everything dear, outside the fluidity in the image that is incredible. The movement of the mouse simply gets very fast, outside the keyboard response time.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

THANK YOU KOH WORKED. Now playing multiplayer is so much better. Thank you and all for your help. Ours is now reaching more than 300 frames. Simply incredible to play multiplayer like this.
