- AK has 30 rounds more, but as said the damage per bullet is lower
- normal reload time of both is actually within 0.1s of each other
- 1 block weight of variance is arguable in terms of balance now that the upgrade system is implemented
The devs don't count on the players to get them both for highest effectiveness. You should be grabbing either one of them and then have a SCARH or FNFAL for late game.
In all seriousness it'll probably be reworked in an update or 2. Keep un mind that when the husl cannon, mac-10, doomstick, and static strikers (to name a few) first came out they were either really UP or really OP. Seems that the carbine atm is more UP compared to the ak and other weapons, but hell it's so fun to use anyways.
Also, it has stumbe value like Med rifle.
Visual kick is lower.
And has Single-fire option.
