Do elite crawlers spawn on hard?
Daily challenge has been hard maps only for nearly a week, and I like to do all 3 at once if I can.

But I can't remember seeing elite crawlers (the gas ones) on hard - so thought I'd quickly ask as the people playing hard - even prestige 3 level 25 don't seem to be able to answer.

Never had this challenge before - appears have managed to get 2 in a bunch of long games playing as FB.

Elite Crawlers - kind of maybe, it's kind of really rare to see one
Husk - I'm guessing yes. (maybe)

Oh... new challenges... day's changed.

Well - question still stands.

Also, do husks detonate on Hard?

I know they don't do flamer attacks and that gores don't do specials and I don't recall ever seeing a rioter below suicidal difficulty.

not sure but lower difficulties wont be a threat if they spawned but i think they show up at suicidal/hoe.

as for husks, only at suicidal and hoe as far as i know.

Elite crawlers do appear on hard, but not very often, sometimes I see one, two, maybe three on a hard run, sometimes I don't know until someone shoots them wrong and they go boom.

Elite crawlers do spawn on hard, but they are rare.

Husks do detonate on hard ( i've witnessed them doing so ), but again its rare.

Rioters do not spawn on hard, only sui/hoe.

they have a 0.01 chance to spawn on hard iirc

I saw 1 in a long game on hard just now, doing today's challenges (character, weapon and XP).

Ran off and kept a snowman/husk til last and knifed him and he didn't detonate, but I think someone shot it a few times as I was doing it.

I'm starting to understand why hard games are often filled with prestige 3 level 25's...

The speed is more sedate (it's relaxing) and it's a bit like being thrown in at the deep end with rioters and all the different attacks that don't exist at hard if trying suicidal, which might put people who don't like losing from going back to it.

In that 6 player hard game, a clip of Kriss as SWAT (think I'm level 24 SWAT) to a quarter-pounder head takes it out without needing to switch or use a nade.

Scrakes seemed to be more of an issue, requiring a reload after stun nade and clip.

Considering that there was 3 level 25 prestige 3's I was surprised that the team failed objectives on the hard match on Volter Manor, that's been around for years...

Wasn't like they had to deal with the big zeds intercepted.
The whole team was in the area - no skirmishers or outside sectors.
Totally different playstyle - jumping around and all shooting the same clot (or wall where it used to be) and letting in the sirens.

I guess it's West Coast USA kid's time or something, cos it's 0600 here, so it must be something to do with kill count, I think...

I reckon it might be an idea to start including a rioter or two and a slight chance of the special attacks in hard, so as to help people not be scared to try the faster difficulties for which they're at least levelled to deal with.

Then again - maybe it's good there's a glass ceiling like that.
Would be seeing the defeat screen more often than already do if those P3 Lvl 25's were in a suicidal game, for sure.

I blame perk grinding maps.

On all difficulties, Husks can perform a suicide explosion attack by pointing their arm cannons at the ground and blowing themselves up at melee range. This deals massive damage (190) and will kill anyone short of a Demolitionist with explosive resistance.
The higher the difficulty, the more likely Husks will choose to suicide instead of meleeing.
