iirc, that is the files that the game download when the server you join promt it.

I think is not the reason, because I only play offline. I never played online, because my pc is crap.

So many folders!!! wow! I get 2+ gb, so I deleted it

I discovered this KillingFloor2 cache folder a few months ago and mine was almost 22 GB. I relocated it to a different drive for backup in case there were any adverse effects from removing it, but I've had none so it seems safe to delete. It appears to be almost a copy of what is found in the steamapps > common > killingfloor2 folder

That's where the game stores custom maps from the Workshop.

You can delete all folders except Config in KFgame or else you be forced to rebind and do all the work.

The game seems to do that with every update anyway, the amount of times I’ve had to remind all my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ keys after an update...

Just deleted mine and nothing happened in-game. Binds are in place. Thanks OP, that freed me some space I need

The cache folder contains:
A) Everything you download when joining a server. (maps and mutators like CD, Zedternal, CustomScoreboard, custom weapons, etc.).
B) Everything you are subscribed to in steam workshop. So if you are subscribed to 10gb worth of maps and skins and you delete the cash folder it will simply be there again in all its glory the next time you start the game (- the stuff from A of course).

Edit: Don't know if the game automatically deletes workshop content you've unsubscribed from. I have the strong feeling it doesn't which would probably explain a lot of bloated cache folders.
