Is there a way to disable shared content?

It may be too early to complain about this as the update dropped less then 24 hours ago, but I bought the new weapon dlc but now because of that without fail, 4/6 people on my team excluding me change to Swat and Sharpshooter just to leach off my new weapons.

Can't say I blame them, but when I'm o Hell on Earth and a lvl 25 Commando changes to a lvl 3 Swat... yeah that caused us to lose.

So is there a way to turn this off on lets say a server you own? Because if I lose one more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ match because everyone’s using my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mosin...

Sorry for the rant, I'm actual really annoyed because I enjoy the guns, but if I join online I'm going to cause the whole game to become a dumpster fire.

You could, if they were integrated with the Steam store, but that would mean they would have regional prices for them, discounts and probably paying a fee to Steam.

I do like the idea of shared weapons, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I wish I could be selective, or at least turn the sharing on and off. Hopefully this goes away when everyone has had a go.

Your issue isn’t shared content, its that you have pubbies switching to low level classes on HoE. At that point I’d start a vote kick (if they dont comply) after asking them to switch back. Or just play with friends and avoid the hastle

You forget most everyone is a self indulged ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. And playing privately with friends is a near imposibility because I'll always get thrown in some 200 odd ping russian lobby. Now, I have friends who own servers (3 actually) but most people don't have my luxury. And sometimes I wanna play in pubs just for a casual match.

Like, every lobby has at least one guy with a Zweihander, so its almost like its a base game weapon, but 99% of people who still actively play don't own the $10 dlc guns.

Please tripwire, this move effects even people who buy your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ $10 dlc guns.

You’re welcome to join our discord if you want, most everyone there has a fairly good skill ceiling and no underleveled perks lol. Plus our own hosted servers if you wanna avoid ping.

Otherwise I still suggest my initial post, plus maybe try setting up your own private server and/or disallowing underleveled players

I think your missing the point, I am able to set up servers for me and my friends, not everyone else can and they gotta do it the matchmaking way which gives them no control over what lobby they join.

And sometimes I just want to join pubbies, playing with friends exclusively isn't gonna help me meet new people.

This is a problem I doubt only effects me, it's a problem that's going to effect everyone buying the weapons. Then those who don't are going to be the ones who ruin games trying to play with someone elses toys.

Overall $10 weapon dlc is a problem more then just the price.

Well, in KF1 people had to keep asking for the guns they didn't have, which was a nuisance whenever they died, and specially if the person buying them already had their weight filled.

KF1:

1. Spawn
   
2. Ask for gun
   
3. "I need X money"
   
4. Give money
   
5. Guy drops weapons while buying, risking some random asshat stealing them for whatever reason
   
6. You get the weapon
   
7. Still have to go back to spot

KF2:

1. Spawn
   
2. Buy gun
   
3. Go to spot
