How to Unlock FPS?
So, i checked to Options for this Variable Framerate thing, Changed my .ini file, started the Game as admin and still my Monitor just show's 60FPS while my GPU stats that it's outputting around 150 FPS. Other Games work just fine, even WoW WotLK works with 120 FPS and 4K but KF2 on 2k just refuses to show 120 FPS on my Monitor while my GPU gives me more Frames, is this Game just locked to 60FPS or did i miss something?

I did enable and disable the Variable Frame Rate, still no change other than that my GPU outputs more than 60 FPS but my Monitor still only shows 60 FPS

Still no Solution?

Maybe you have v-sync activated in your dirver as global setting?

Just tried my game with deactivated v-sync and it only went to 63 FPS, so maybe it´s locked at 60.

mine Game is pending between 58 and 63,62ish i looked in my Nvidia settings but no, no Vsync enable, how i ealier said, my GPU puts around 140 Frames out, but my Monitor only shows around 60 while he shows in others Games the Frames my GPU puts out (till 144Frames because of my 144Hz). It's only KF2 that wont reach more than around 60 FPS even if my GPU puts out way more Frames than just 60 and i really dont know why this is Happening, even an Old version of WoW WotLK can give my 4k 120FPS without Problems, (besides menu Scaling) but KF2 really dont wants to be played at more than 60 Frames, its like a little child, like, You get from my GPU 120 Frames? Yes. and you can show them because FPS lock and Vsync are off? yes. so you could transfer these 120FPS to my Monitor? yes. Then do it! NO! REEEEE. joke aside, i really dont get it, my GPU says it puts out 120 FPS which it wont make if FPS lock or Vsync is enabled, but my Monitor only receives 60 FPS and this is ONLY happening in KF2.

Have you gone into kfgame.ini in your my documents folder and changed the FrameSmoothing value from 62 to whatever you want?

if you’ve set the max and min frame smoothing to include the range of fps that you want the game shouldn’t be capping your fps as far as I know. Have you tried lower your in game graphic settings to see if it boosts your fps?

Yeah i did, how i mentioned earlier i can see how many FPS my GPU outputs and how many my Monitor Displays. It makes no difference if i play on High or low settings, same goes for the Resolution, no difference between 4k,2k, 1080p and 720p i get constant 60FPS. I mean 60FPS are nice but since i got the Possibility to play with 144 FPS i would make use of it.

What is your screen's frame limit? Most are 60hz, unless you have a 120hz, etc.

if you do have a high hz screen, have you set your desktop resolution /hz to its propoer setting?

you could also try nvidia control panel, prefered refresh rate setting of highest possible
