Wish It would go back to being a cheap 600 dosh shotty. It's also really akward how you're left with 2 extra nails.

IMO the nailgun is a better support weapon than a zerk weapon. Its good for the early rounds as your main and starting gun.

it actually is
upgarded you get more mileage out of it. Idk if singular shots get buffed by the support damage ramp up but it still decaps gorefasts and below with 1 nail

More dmg than AA-12, almost as much dmg as double barrel (actually more than even dbl barrel considering ricochet dmg in small area), more versatile with long range accurate single shot mode, super cheap ammo. And some comedian zerks claim they only have melee attacks.

Goes mostly unused because it requires some ammo management and a bit of skilll, which is mostly what people choose zerk to avoid in the first place.

It used to be pretty good at taking down Scrakes at one point, but I think it's been nerfed. I rarely use it as a Zerker. But now that the Katana is so expensive I may have to consider going back to it.

Dude, I think the KF2 wiki explains it really well but, it usually also serves the purpose of getting rid of trash (shoot at the floor and it wipes crawlers) and stunning a Husk from far away

As the Zerker’s only solely ranged weapon. What is disappointing is how despite it not being mentioned, the weapon makes the skirmisher perk not function when you’re holding it,

now that you've mentioned it, I have noticed that the movement speed doesn't work when using the Nailgun (and I got killed twice in 2 seperate maps trying to complete this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weekly)

Though he still has massive dmg resistance, regen, cannot be grabbed, and can switch back and forth to fast run whenever needed. Which still makes zerk using ranged about 10x more powerful and completely unkillable than a support (for comparison). Which...really isn't a disappointment, all things considered.
