But just because you can run something a system, doesn't mean you should. Shooters on consoles, without proper support for keyboard and mouse, are just not good. And the switch COULD support that, but it doesn't yet. I'm aware there are people routing signals through 3rd party devices to let the Switch think you're using a controller, but's that's not a viable option for the majority of players. They should just give you the option to use any USB (or bluetooth) keyboard and mouse.
Also, there's the problem with the voice chat. This needs fixing. Running a mobile app on your phone to use voice chat in games is a very crafty solution, but not a good one, especially because you need to wire everything up.
Don't get me wrong, I like my Switch. But there's games that fit the system, and then there's games that don't fit the system. And usually if I can get the same game on PC, I will get the PC version, even if it's only for achievements, which the Switch is also lacking.
Fun fact: I'd get Dragonball FighterZ for the Switch if they made it, because I don't like Denuvo and EAC.
People buy a switch to play Nintendo games.
They always make a console version of shooters, which is "adapted" to the lack of control, so the game is dumbed down very harshly in order to compensate for the console's shortcomings concerning proper input peripherals. But this sucks and feels wrong. Even in the Playstation 2 days, they knew this and they gave you Half Life and Timesplitters with mouse and keyboard support.
Also there's the fact that if you have the same proper input method and not only a vastly inferior one, crossplay could happen.
I really don't get why they put crappy ports of shooters on consoles, but there's even people on mobile trying to play shooters, which is even more absurd, hilarious and sad at the same time.
Also this:
+ console games that aren't available on PC. Or trying a demo, because you don't always get PC demos of all the games you'd like to try out.
That being said, I think the real reason it won't happen is Tripwire would not invest the $$$ to figure out how to port it to Switch. They took money from Sony to be a timed exclusive on PS4 helping them port it there and then to Xbox One. They took money from Oculus to make a VR version. Unless Nintendo threw them money to make a Switch port it's not going to happen.
Fair point. Usually it comes down to this risk/reward assessment. Even in the old days, where you didn't have to keep supporting a platform after releasing on it, not everything was ported everywhere, because companies tried to gauge how much they had to invest for how much of a potential return. Porting games, that even get regular updates for which your development studio needs to jump through the hoops of the respective platform owner to get the update greenlit, seems highly unattractive without any upfront incentive. And I doubt Nintendo is interested in making the Switch a platform that caters to shooters. Sure, they don't seem to mind them, with Doom and Payday 2 released, but then again the Payday 2 devs wanted to use Nintendo's voice chat solution and couldn't get it right away. I don't know if that's been resolved yet.
So if I had a shooter to market, I'd see the Switch as a dead or at least controversial platform for my game at the moment. If I really wanted to go for consoles with it, I'd probably go for the PS4 and if I had some development money to spare maybe even Xbone, but definitely not the Switch yet. The other platforms have sold more units, I could reach more people. For reference:

uhm KF2 is on the consoles already technically like the xbox and ps consoles. I've seen miracles happen. Also the main jist of it is making them into portable cartriages. Once you do that you can just update them by the actual console
if you meant by buying them like from the nintendo store for some games then i'd say probably not or at least it'd be harder to do
