6 players is too easy
There's something wrong with the difficulty/player scaling in this game. 3-4 players is fun and challenging, and co-op and perk roles are emphasized. With 6 players, everything is different: it becomes a complete mess and way too easy. Everyone's just spamming senselessly, with demos standing still and racking up kills.

HoE (and other difficulties too) with 6 players is a joke compared to 2-4 players and plays like a whole different game. They should either: a) introduce smaller servers as an official mode in matchmaking or b) make 6-player HoE harder—in other words: fix scaling. This problem has persisted since launch.

HoE is not supposed to involve chill gameplay. As it stands, HoE provides chill gameplay, where I don't need to play 100%, or even 80%. This is a problem. The hardest difficulty of the game should be hard as hell and push a 6-player team to its limit. It should be near-impossible with a mediocre public team. HoE 6 player is playable with 1 hand most of the time. The game has plenty of difficulty settings to choose from, so why is the hardest one not actually extremely hard?

Bottom line:
2-4 players = fun and tactical
6 players = boring and easy

6 players is fine and better than 4 players.
hecc there are even like 10 - 40 - 100 player servers.

maybe is the people you play with? pubs? maybe you just need friends

if you find playing 6 players boring or easy try max pop servers or even solo

I need friends worse than public players so that the game becomes harder?

It should be other other way around: I need friends better than public players so that we can even finish a round.

Im saying scaling is fine. for each player that dies it scales to the number of players left.

maybe reread that again. If you want it harder. So? Make it harder for yourself then?

why would you want lesser people to play with ala 4 people? 6 player is fine

so get a server and some friends? and ditch pubs? better coordination?

ZED gains HP per extra player, body / head Scrake +39% / +28% Quarter Pound +20% / +15% Fleshpound +39% / +28% Hans Volter +75% Patriarch +50% King Fleshpound +39% Abomination +40%
Here's how zed amount/HP scales per player added. I, personally, don't have much of a problem with it since this type of difficulty curve is fairly common for coop games.

You're saying scaling is fine; I'm saying scaling is not fine. This discrepancy probably stems from me being a better player/playing with better teams or you not playing HoE at all.

Mabye play hoe, lol


But really, it matters how good the players are and what roles (and lev of the roles) they are. Get some pro berserkers/medics/supports and the games going to be easy

And as seid, it matters how good the players are. The games been out for years so the player bace are going yo have alot of really pro players

It's hardly about player skill. Like I said, this problem has existed since launch/beta, when people had just hit level 25. HoE 6-player was always too easy, and it still is. An average team can win a HoE 6-player game. They shouldn't be able to. HoE should be a real challenge. Suicidal should be the current HoE with 6 players, or close to that, and HoE should be something else.

But like I said, these problems only exist with 6 players. 2-4p HoE and Suicidal are fine both.

Your the one crying over the game being to easy with a few good players

And as I seid, after some time people will be very good at the gsme to the point of braking it.

Also as seid the roles people lick and the map plays a role in how easy a game is

Just do some solo games as a weak role and come back to us. Or get a few lev 0 on hoe

Making the game harder should not be up to me. This is a weak, dumb argument and something that's always suggested when a lack of difficulty is brought up: "don't wear the best armor; use a worse weapon on purpose!" That's utter nonsense. Providing enough challenge on the hardest difficulty is the game's job. I shouldn't need to handicap myself.

Also, I don't enjoy playing solo because I enjoy the co-op dynamics which exist with 2-4 players, and you can't prevent a server from filling up in order to play with 4 players. Less than 6 players isn't even officially supported because the server browser still shows 6 players even if your player limit is 4, which is ridiculous.

As I said earlier, you don't even need GOOD players to easily beat HoE with 6 players. Average players are enough.

Making the game harder should not be up to me.
