EDIT:
you didn't started on wave 1. Moving on.
Endless game is best played, for long haul, on either hard diff or normal diff.
Hard is the best actually. The longest that I got in endless hard was up to wave 86, in solo, as a wide variety of different classes. Would have gotten further, but I got sick of it, typed in "suicide" into console, and GTFO'ed from PC to rest :D
On suicidal as starting diff, the endless mode RNG gets very wonky, and can summon you lots of undesirable special waves, such as Boom, or Fleshpounds Only (not poundemonium, Fleshpounds only, which is bullsh^it).
New guys should play endless on normal, old guys - hard. Suicidal and HOE endless modes are poorly executed, maybe they'll improve suicidal/HOE endless in the future, but today - avoid those two.
For example, let's say, you start the game on hard. Ok, from wave 1-4 the zed spawning pattern, their health pool and damage output is true to what they do on hard. On wave 5, you fight the boss and kill the boss. On wave 6-9 you will be playing the game on SUICIDAL, the zed spawning pattern will adjust accordingly to what spawns during suicidal, including more dangerous attacks from zeds, such as Husk's flamethrower and suicide attack, Crawler's heavy clawing, Stalker's spin-kicking,blade dancing gorefiends, all that "gud stuph" (but their damage output and health pool will stay the same to the ones from hard difficulty). Ok, wave 10, boss is defeated.
On wave 11 and further you will be fighting zeds on HOE, and there will be lots of Rioters, toxic crawlers and gorefiends (because that's how you roll in HOE), their health and damage output is still going to be on hard diff numericals.
After reaching wave 11, you will receive special waves more frequently than during 1-10, and the total zed count will rise without limits incrementally, but their health and damage numericals are going to stay the same as on Hard diff.
That's what I noticed personally about endless mode. If i'm wrong on some aspect, correct me.
Don't play suicidal/HOE endless, unless you want to get your a^ss kicked by fifty Fleshpounds Only
