What's the fastest way to kill the Patriarch, and on which map?
I ask this question, is because i'm aiming to get the "Quick on the Trigger" achievement, which is to kill the Patriarch before he begins to heal himself.

I almost had him a couple of days ago with the Microwave Gun (playing as Firebug) during a full-team session I had hosted, but dude goes invisible and runs off to heal up.

stacking railsharps is the fastest way to kill any boss
patty is also vulnerable to freeze nades so just start throwing them at him when he starts trying to run

Solo as Berserker with an Eviscerator. That, or play Endless and hope he spawns on Wave 5, because bosses on Wave 5 have notoriously low HP that gets melted by any T4 weapon

Map knowledge is key, so for me, Burning Paris is easiest. If you kite around the big square thing covered in movie posters (in front of the subway entrance), Patty usually runs up the stairs and through the alleyway tunnel to heal himself.

In solo I've had the best results with Gunslinger.

In team play, you'll need a sharpshooter to freeze him, a zerker to EMP, or just have your team block him. Map doesn't really matter too much. Using cryo nades is the best approach, though.

Tag him with a few blocks of C4, then when he runs to heal, set them off every 3 seconds. Works best as Demolitions in a Normal or Hard Solo game.

I remember using C4 to booby-trap welded doors to ambush incoming Zeds, but never tried it with a boss enemy before (let alone on this chump)

looking pat In the Barn with you on Farmhouse can work also I believe he can't break the big door but might be run since I never realy tested it..Other players said it worked though

just got done the "Burning Paris" map.....

and the team I was playing with had blocked his path, while I spammed the Husk Cannon. which killed him in maybe 7-8 seconds
i first killed the patriarch on burning paris. We welded all the doors shut in the bottom subway. Wherever he came through we had a support quickly unweld the door and weld it back when he came inside the killing floor (lolololololol). It's super easy if you know how:
-first off you can kill him any difficulty and get the achievement
-as any perk and perk lvl
-multiplayer or solo

that being said, the easiest way is solo as a lvl 25 zerker with an eviscerator on normal.

With endless mode added, you can kill him on normal on diesector (any map by diesector is more enclosed), basically like killing a scrake on 6P HoE match with a little more health.
If you want the actual challenge there's a setup specifically for HoE or below on multiplayer:
-1 med and/or 1 zerker
they're your blockers and can run fast enough to catch up to him if he escapes. Med with the hemo and zerker with the eviscerator. M2 saw spin and save the m1 blade thrower if he slips past you
-commando for seeing him and extending zed time to help zerker catch up. firebug works as well, to help deal with trash and set him on fire. Not as effective but the husk cannon can do serious damage

so theres 2-4 players there already
then theres the big damage dealers:
-sharpshooter, gunslinger, or demo. Demo has pure damage from the rpg. Sharp with the railgun can spam with LLRRLorR lvl 25 perk skill doesn't matter much but the off chance you get zed time during the patriarch trying to run away, the extra damage on headshot from assassin can help kill him easier. gunslinger has both crippling and headshot slowing plus can run fast enough to catch up.

as for the extra spaces if you have some:

-swat and support have some uses as supressing fire and stumble. Support with the DBS and all R, swat with all cripple perks, aiming at the feet, and with the kriss. plus they can double to help clear trash if needed. Swat can double as a block but you'd better make sure you kill him or else you'll lose your armor in a couple of blocks

-survivalist is a wild card and can help as extra damage or trash zed killer

as for nades:
-med nades with boosts help to inc. damage, speed, and reduce damage taken as well as healing, helps with tanking and blocking as either zerker, medic, or swat.
-molotov helps reveal him
-emp and cyronades help incap him. EMP reveals him/disables cloak and slows him while cryo completely immobilizes him and leaves his head and weak points unguarded. Either way both nades help to slow him down long enough for your team to surround him
-commando nades, flashbangs, nailbombs, and support nades aren't really useful, but they can help with supstantial damage and helping take out trash.

blocking with any melee helos reduce damage on blockers, but you can do with just a katana to keep your main tier 4 weapon for damage dealing.

Do even 1/2 of this and you'll kill him easily eventually. If not you then your teammates will for you.

but your best bet is welding all exits shut for am extra precious 2-4 seconds to catch up to him and stall

You'll get it sooner or later. No need to rush it.
