That's kinda funny as a native french speaker to hear that kind of mistake tbh.

English borrows phrases from other languages. Bon apetite is recognized as a part of english (e.g., it's in english dictionaries and grammar references) just like bon voyage or faux pas. In some cases the Anglicized pronunciation of phrases gets changed. An english speaker using the anglicized pronunciation is not actually a "mistake".

Well even though Strasser has a pretty good voice actor who has accurate German pronounciation, he isn't exclusively authentic either. You'll always find some little thing that's a bit "off." For example, no German native speaker would refer to a glass/ mug of beer as "Stein." That's a thing Americans etc. say.
Also, what Jimmylowa said is very accurate.
