Best way to utilize EMP nades?
I'm a zerker in training, currently. Would like some tips on this.

I would mainly use the EMP nades aganist the Husks. Simply because Berserkers have a common weakness aganist them(Husks can burn the player to a crisp whenever a player gets near him). EMP nades are also good aganist the Patriarch because you can force him to remove his visible cloak whenever he gets by 2 EMP nades.

Well EMP before used to be the big thing, still is but for certain situations.

I will explain to you about how to use EMP with certain loud out.

Katana + Eviscrator: when do you use EMP with them? only for big zeds when they are raged by your teammate or before they are raged. before they are raged if your team is ready to fight it, throw the nade it won't let the sc/fp rage when they reach enough damage to rage until the EMP effect wears off, which should give them enough time to kill it safely.

For you as a zerk, since you said you're training, you can hit SC with 2 HS as lvl 25 zerk ( must equip smash skill ) with eviscrator saw ( M1 - mouse 1- ) if you think you can land headshots easy with the weapon yet, try to use emp 1st then land your headshot, it can last to 3 headshots incase you missed one.

So basically EMP's are only perfectly used vs big zeds not anything less, and/or bosses.

The EMP will completely disable the Patriarch's cloak, which allows you to chase him much more easily.

wasting EMP nade on husk isn't worth it, you're better off training with katana and timing to go agressive vs husk to land that 1 horizental strike to 1 shot it by the tank exploding, killing the husk and whatever near it up to med zeds except bloat. or shoot it with 9mm when he tries to fire the cannon either HS or on the husk's fual tank.

What about if I use the club n shield?
emps are basically non-immobilizing freeze grenades. You use them the same way as a sharp, on big zeds and if you need to get the ♥♥♥♥ out of the area about to be swarmed. EMP also does not stop enraged zeds. Your best bet is to use against husks at mediun range to close in. Other than that, as a zeker, emp grenades are your last fallback plan, plan B if your team is gonna get overruned. You're fast but not enough to make it halfway across the map. The grenades help to make the zeds docile so they can escape and you can reposition.

Against a boss it's a godsent because they don't attack or get enraged, especially against the run away patriarch.

If you ever get in a situation where you're about to die just use it as well. You take minimal damage and can survive 1-2 grenades vs a zed hit, especially on HoE

I really don't like it personally, i play aggressive berserk, never went for super tank club and shield play style. let me check weight and such and give u tips about it still.

ok done, has same weight as eviscrator i see... you can use it with either pulv ( hammer ) or zweihander if you have the weapon from DDE( digital deluxe edition) or by owning chivelry game.

This will apply same strategy as i mentioned above but with a little tweak.

If you choose to go with club and shield, and your 2nd weapon is zweihander, you tank fp for yor team with shield, but you will take care of SC using zweih, land few strong attacks on throw emp back a bit heal as u back if u can, and go for strong attack again. with practice it can be done easily. it takes around 4-5 HS with zweihander to finish of SC. or you can tank both. up to u.

If you go with club and shield, and your 2nd weapon is pulverizer, you can take care of FP since hammer is known how to be used, M2 on fp, 4 shots on 6p HoE and they die. easily, 2 EMP's to calm down a raged fp.

You can choose to tank both of these big zeds and use EMP to calm them down if your team wanna take care of them. and use katana along with club and shield to take care of trash.
