Is the trello board roadmap useless?
https://trello.com/b/ZOwMRlcW/killing-floor-2-roadmap

The trello board is a great opportunity for the developers of KF2 to communicate with the community. I kind of feel like it has ended up as a useless place for them to consolidate plans and add pictures. Beyond that they don't seem to really use the trello as a means to communicate with the community.

They only seem to populate any major update section well after they announce the plans elsewhere. For example we knew about the christmas update content long before that section was filled out on the trello. Taking a look at the upcoming Spring section we see that it is still as empty as Hans heart. As we know they already released details about their upcoming major update and people are already discussing that content.

Besides the update sections never being updated until long after everyone has discussed the content, there is another useless section. "Issues We Have Decided Not To Pursue Further At This Time and Why" That section includes "Long Load Times", but as we saw they just announced that they are addressing the long load times with their upcoming update.

So the list of issues that aren't being worked on and are being worked on is clearly not reliable. The Votes on the roadmap are also redundant since we have an in game vote that people take. What if the two different votes get different results? Why isn't there only one place to vote? Is one of those votes a waste of time? The situation is very odd.

I feel like they made it to communicate with the community, but I don't see them using it to its full potential. With all those sections outdated and others being redundant do you feel like the trello roadmap could be better taken care of?

They don't want to tell players, "OK, [highly anticipated weapon] WILL be in the Spring update" and then have to push it back because of a bug found at the last minute or some other reason.

The issue is that they usually do tell us in advance when a weapon is coming, but it ends up not being put on the trello roadmap until either right before the update or later. I believe the christmas update came out and then later they finished putting everything on the trello. It doesn't do much for us as a roadmap when we are already playing with the stuff they then add.
