is prestige worth it?

i dont really mind about skins that much, the icons look cool to show how experienced i am with a certian perk but im not entirely sure if its worth all the effort and time...

If you don't care about the skins Vdosh or the emblem then sounds like prestige isn't for you.

Prestige was added for people who were tired of being level 25, so they could have more things to do.
Is it worth it? NO: skins are horrible, vault boxes are useless.
But you should do it if you are tired of being level 25 and you want to level 25 again, just to refresh the perk and have fun.
But please, don't grind prestiges, leveling when you don't want to is really annoying.

Most of the time people do it to show how experienced they are with the perk. You'd trust a 4 level prestige medic more than one that hasn't prestiged. But this isn't always the case as some people just grind prestige levels without having much experience with it

This! Do just 1 or 2 at a time, I'm only doing Support and Survivalist at the moment.

Also, not all of the skins are awful, I do like some of the knives but it comes down to personal preference.

with those killbox, perktraining map those "prestige level" mean nothing, and since they start to added this feature i've seen so many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that playing nothing more than a noob despite their prestige level 4 ( that's mean 125 level in total )

It might be interesting in some cases, like, if one of your friend just got the game and you want to lvl up together.

Otherwise, not really, it's not a NG+, just a perk reset who had nothing new to the base game.
Use it only if you want to "restart all over".

I wouldn't put that much trust into prestige, since there is a looooot of perk leveled players.
