Why the heck is there no 1366x768 resolution?

I can either play at 1920x1080 and get sub optimal frame rate, or decrease the resolution down to 2006 era potato pixels. Almost every other game has that in between resolution. TF2, which is from 2007! has that resolution! THIS GAME IS FRoM 2016 ALMOST 10 YEARS NEWER AND IT'S BEEN 3 YEARS SINCE RELEASE SO WHAT IS THE DEAL HERE???

Turns out it is in game but not under 16:9 because the ratio is 16:8.9956076 etc which is almost exactly 16:9
Ya gotta clickk all ratios. Why???

Maybe turn down graphic as well ? Game look fine with low settings.

Also, maybe try investing in some new hardware. AMD got some affordable ones.

With further research, you could try setting the resolution yourself.

the problem with changing it through the console is that if I alt tab it crashes, then stays on screen permanently meaning I can't even open the task manager which forces me to shut down the entire computer

Did you try setting it to window mode, change it, then change it back to fullscreen ?

it crashes if I alt tab and I can't interact with any windows after that

Some say to try Borderless window, but you have to set Borderless=True in KFSystemSettings.ini see if that helps.

turns out it isn't under 16:9 aspect ratio even though it is in the game because it's technically a ratio of 16:8.9956076...(etc).

Hmm, something weird going on there...

Also, not to invalidate your issue but my PC is a relic from 2012 and I can run it fine on full resolution but with all graphics turned to minimum.

Same here, though I drop frames everytime I take damage. I started using a usb fan too, which allows me to play at 1920x1080. I have a laptop, "The Chimera," from 2012.

Wow, that's an oldie! Having a laptop work properly for 7 years is really good.

Between 2008 and 2012 I used a beefy 19" laptop that had bad overheating problems, to the point where I had it sitting on a horizontal window fan just to keep it cool.

It's only still alive due to severe life support systems. Half the keyboard doesn't work, screen stopped working (so I tore it off), internal fan intermittently stops. . . Every external port is occupied by something and somehow it's able to play KF2.

That's nuts! And even more impressive that it can run a new-ish game, haha.

If it starts struggling more, try buying a small window fan for $50 and setting your comp on it, at least that will keep it super cool and will free up a USB port.
