Nothing we can do now honestly.
*So it is technically what they reaper what they sowed beyond this point to their own franchise.
If these weapons surprisingly do sell well then Tripwire or any other company will still compromise for funds from a consumer possible with any other egregious move they pull next in the feature. (I hope QoS and Bug Fixing stands by TW) Companies will repeat this micro-transaction paywall mess if they don’t get the memo of what they are doing wrong. I like KF2 early access even though things were quite changed heavily to the point quality kind of went down hill there...
What bothers me is that TW doesn't even know why people don't buy the cosmetics, So they just don't bother to upgrade it and charge us for actual guns that don't even have unique animations instead.
I've been ranting about this for some time, but i honestly think that TW has a awful administrator, since if they just took a quick look at the customization system in the game they would easely realise why noone buys cosmetics let alone the lootboxes, for example i once met a guy who bought the cardboard knight pack and wanted to use it on Tom Banner, but the game wouldn't let him. And that's without mentioning the roll of the dice that buying cosmetics is, since you never know what item is compatible with what character, or even what cosmetics can be worn along side it. So its just easier to not waste the money.
I was hoping for more Classic outfits for characters or something like that or a full own earn-able and playable character.
But yeah, weapon dlcs aren't too bad if they're decently priced, if said weapons don't provide a major advantage, and if nobody on the moderating/developing team tried to make it clear that weapon dlcs would never happen. And, well, the dlcs are none of these, since they're overpriced, really powerful, and most egregious of all, were stated several times that they would never be in the store.
You can play with these 2 weapons using the console commands.Look for YT videos hat show you how.
Honestly KF2 was ruined at the early stages of it's creation.TW's obsession with artificial difficulty made actually a title where you don't fight an enemy, but the game's shortcomings, adding up to the annoyance.
The guns, the most basic thing in the genre, were in most part, novelties, and not true killing tools, and with a small 'variety' (1911->then double barrel 1911 lever action->then a scoped lever action, etc.).
Everything in this game has wasted potential (especially in comparison to KF1) with underwhelming design all over it.Also I dont like again TW's obsession with steampunk.Isn't out there anything else to add to the game?
IMHO this is the best worst game I've ever played, and it's no compliment.
