Why do I keep hearing the Siren´s screams in my head when I´m TRYING TO SLEEP?
Since I´ve started playing this game, I hear the different Siren screams in my head when I´m trying to sleep. They´re quiet, they´re not really interrupting but they´re there for about a minute before they stop. It´s like the sound is made to burn itself into your memory. Weird.

What is your experience with sirens ingame(how difficult do things get for you when they show up)? It might be your brain memorizing the audio cue for some reason(the brain uses sleeping time to sort through the memories of the previous day). Either way, you should probably talk to a doctor about this.

My experience with them is that when they show up things become a lot different. Running past them isn´t an option like with the rest of them and they make me panic a little even when they´re far away from me, they destroy my grenades so that if they show up with a horde, I can´t just lob a grenade at them to solve my problems. I once was almost murdered because there was a pack of 4-5 sirens that decided to come at me from behind all at once while I was trying to fend off a horde that was in front of me, so that happened.

In that case, a couple tips:
1. Sirens won't start screaming until they get within a certain distance of you, and have a few audio cues aside from their scream to alert you of their presence(faint murmering and metalic creaking noises). Keep your wits about you, and they become laughable to deal with.
2. Try more perks, a siren's scream is canceled by most incap effects and they have the least health among the medium zeds, making most weapons effective tools for dealing with them. On top of this, at level 15, demolitions can make their explosives completely immune to siren screams.

yeah even when im not in the game i hear siren ... things from Tv trigger it also my cats . i think its just a catchy sound like when some song plays and its on your mind . good to read that i am not the only one ... lol
It's something to do with your brain "adapting" to a game if it gets distracting or messes with your sleep take a break for a few days I get it really bad sometimes and actively start hallucinating.

Hey at least you don't hear dying light zombies during shower.
Probably because I find Virals annoying...

You can also stop their scream by shoving/bashing them or shooting at their chest, I don't know if it works with all guns however.

I'd reccomend a break from the game, try something more relaxing such as a match of Smash bros, Mario, or any game that doesn't make you tense. (Don't know what games out there are like that honestly but anything besides KF2 is worth a shot)

Or you can watch something to take your mind off of it, such as your favorite show and etc.

Maybe you're mentally unstable.

For me it's the Kamikaze scream from Serious Sam. It just really stays in your memory

Lookup "The Tetris effect" OP.

Could it be because you need healing? But as others have said, maybe take a break. How about... Some Overwatch?
