Games and Depersonalization/Derealization
I've been suffering from depersonalization for almost one year now. It's affected my gaming so badly, I cannot kill anyone anymore, I get very dizzy when moving very fast, basically i've become a vegetable. It's like i forgot everything to do with my life. I cannot type as fast on a keyboard as before, make more mistakes, cannot move my mouse confidently, cannot aim for anything and click on anything quickly with the mouse cursor. I dunno how to cure this, and i think that i'm going crazy. What are your stories of depersonalisation or derealisation if you ever had encountered it before? I hope no one will ever have it because it is the worst thing ever. I don't want anything, severe apathy, and it feels like suicide is the only way out. Can you give me any advice on it?

I would suggest that, if you did not already, you might want to seek out a qualified psychologist/psychiatrist/whatever. They should be able to give you at least some advice on how to deal with it when it gets really bad.
Other than that, as with many other psychological disorders, your habits play into it more than you might think. Try to get enough sleep (at night, mind you!), eat right, get some exercise at least once or twice a week. If you notice that it becomes worse while gaming, you should probably take a break.

Ok, thank you for taking time to reply. I'll look into getting a psychologist, but I'm 14 - Would be hard to convince my parents.

Do you have a hobby besides gaming? If not, consider getting one. It gives you a reason to leave the House, meet people and so on. This sounds like really useless advice but whatever, I'll just throw it in here.

Thank you. I enjoy animating weapon handling. I'll try to do it more.

It might not be as hard as you think at first. Most parents want the best for their children, even though they don't always make it obvious. You should probably talk to them about your problems; they might be more understanding than you give them credit for. Best to keep it simple, or they might think you simply read something somewhere and overreacted.
If the cost for a psychologist is their main concern, you should also check if your school has some sort of counsellor you can talk to. While they're usually not qualified to give actual psychological advice, they will at least be able to point you in the right direction, give you some general advice, and maybe convince your parents to let you see a psychologist.

Yes, get professional help in your local area and stop posting about your mental ilness in a game forum.

Animations are nice, it has kind of a creative touch. But I meant something that does not involve a computer. You are in school, maybe they offer some kind of activity that sparks your interest?

@Sesamkuchen your level of empathy is truly mind- bending.

Talking about empaty? Yes? ok. First its a game forum, where people talk about a game they interested in and may dont want read about serious problems and feel bad.
Second, its an open forum and kids could read that stuff, should they?

I am very empathetic to your situation. Mental illness is a serious thing and the best thing to do in a time of crisis is reach out. You did that, but now I recommend hearing our advice and also doing so to a professional or others trained to assist you in doing so. I don't know where you live but here are some links that may help.

This is not the ideal place for a thread of this kind. Even places like Reddit have subforums for people in your situation. Feel free to sent friend invites to anyone you have found helpful here if you'd like but I am going to have to lock this thread. I wish you the best and really do hope you seek help.
