Also, for some reason, this is ok: (nonempty HoE games...)

I don't mean to be rude, but isn't a filter literally personally banning maps? You don't have to tell me twice. People should play what they have fun with, if so many people happen to have fun with this map, then so be it. You have a server browser, find a different server or create one.
im not 15 anymore, this is numbing my brain after about an hour xD
Stating that you have been playing games for 25 years (really a truly amazing achievement, may you be playing for another 25) you really lose your respect you have gained instantly from using your very sound opinion by saying that only 15 year olds would have fun with this game. I'm not fanboy-ing you or anything, just seems like you wasted your argument is all. You also basically said "The game is good, but this game is not worth my time" which also kind of bogs down your argument without any supporting evidence.
Can you tell I'm looking too deep into this comment yet?
filtering maps is getting rid of more than have your screen having garbage that you don't want to play, and wont EVER want to play
Personally, i would also want to filter out asanine servers with "only level 15+!" in their name, since they contribute to the false narritive that having a high leveled perk actually determines skill while so many perk farmers are out there...
Someone who truely isnt a team player will get kicked anyway.
I think it's best for there to be an official map whitelist for leveling. People who don't enjoy the grinding can find a game more suiting of their tastes. People who don't have the time to grind can find something more suiting of their schedule.
I'm aware TWI are in a business and need to pull in and keep as many customers to be successful, but as a multiplayer game I believe this is worse for them in the long run.
TL;DR: Whitelist or die.
Or even make a "graylist"... maps where you gain xp, but only 25% what you would normally.
A newly created map would start off on the Graylist; then after a few days, it'll get de/pro-moted to black or white.
Being a long time gamer (I'm 31 yrs old & I've known videogames since I was 2), I fully understand the difference between Personal-experience (Pxp) & Character-experience (Cxp).
Pxp = Playing the game and learning the ins and outs... aka intelligence. How do monsters react, how guns feel/recoil/spread. Does crouch/aim'ing decrease the spread? LEARNING THE ROLE OF YOUR PERK IN A GROUP SETTING. What's a good place to camp~ & how do I know when to runaway/kite.
Cxp = What level you are. (0 - 25)
Typically on regular maps, pxp&cxp tend to increase at the same time; but these Level-maps destroy that learning experience & now the community is flooded with "highlevel noobs".
It is kinda understandable if you level 1 or 2 perks to max and THEN use levelmaps to boost up your other perks... but please, try to at least play a few Hard matches with that perk before you step into the big leagues. Or at least read a guide on the class... like knowing that demos can headshot, was a surprise to me.
I enjoy playing on official maps, but exploring and finding great community maps are what I enjoy most in this game. Would be a shame for it all to be messed up because of a rotten apple in a good bunch.
Perhaps having to require a player to demonstrate their personal experience in game mechanics by completing prior difficulty levels before moving on to something like HoE would be a good compromise? I'd expect a normal person to move up the difficulty ladder by each rung to the top over time so it shouldn't be much of an annoyance IMO as long as it'll stop these said people from just jumping straight into HoE.
In the end, it's just up to the person if they're willing to take the steps necessary to learn what's needed to survive in such a difficulty. A person grinding to 25 through regular grinding in official maps and jumping straight into HoE can be equally as hindering if they refused to learn along the way. Sometimes, regular gameplay doesn't teach a person certain things unless they actually payed attention or sought out more.
I started to play KF2 in October last year and it's definitely non-steam version until this year i've purchased KF2 and i realized that leveling is taking long time so i must use Super Perk Training Map to reduce my leveling time. So i reached max level for all perks when i had only 60 hours playing. And i'm the guy who understand how every perk work and deal with zeds so it isn't big problem for me when all perks is max so soon.
I never said it was the same as banning maps. I did say it was personally banning maps. Me saying 'personally' is a huge difference than me leaving that out, don't worry, that's why I put it there. I agree that we need a filter pretty desperately, but I don't agree with outright banning maps.
Because terrible players as a 25 on higher difficulties = game over
