Yeah hard to use it well, but be always looking for only headshots as shooting slowly and carefully. While reloading, use the tactic 'canceling reload animation'. Keep in mind, that your all shoots are very important to survive. Always be moving even while aiming. Don't shoot zeds farther, your job is mid-range. First, think about switching weapon to 9mm when you needed to reload and if they were crowded zeds.
Simply put the DPS increase the 1858s provide when compared to the dual 9mms is marginal until you get the level 15 reload speed perk, and possibly non-existant if you can't handle the guns' outrageous recoil.
If you're getting swarmed a 9mm is just way better, the revolvers are alright when its calm.
Deagles and M1911 pistols don't have this drawback, sport a larger magazine, and faster reload with better damage, and the .500 revolvers at least compensate for having huge damage and stumble despite having a slightly slower reload, slighty fewer shots, and larger recoil per shot.
Face it, you made this topic knowing that a lot of people don't like the Tier 1 revolvers and people already brought up all the reasons why. You can continue being in denial all you want.
I'll tell you right now, a good gunslinger can pull off way... more kills with those dualies than the dual revolvers.
If this game has to delete a weapon, I would gladly vote this thing.
