Whats the best class(es) for soloing?
I generally tend to play on my own every now and then and i'd like to know which ones are great for playing solo on any difficulty.

Medic actually falls a bit flat in higher difficulties. It definitely has good enough survivability to make the higher difficulties easy in the "you will win" sense, but the lack of damage means you're going to be spending most of your rounds running and healing rather than wasting zeds.
You also forgot Firebug(MWG+trenchgun is great for the late and boss waves) and Survivalist(Boomstick+RPG+M14 or Katana is amazing).

It's also worth noting that these perks are only easy wins if you know how they work, so look up guides on them. Though a here's a good brief version of each:

Zerk's regen skills can make you feel invincible, but remember that you're not. Too many zeds hitting you at once can easily overwhelm the 2 hp/sec and 2 hp/kill, so keep track of your health and don't get too cocky. Also get the parry timing for zed attacks down; even if you take resistance instead of parry at level 15 it's an ability worth mastering.

Medic(as I stated above) Has relatively low damage but insane survivability. While killing is still your prioity, your strength is in outlasting the zeds, so keep an eye on your health, grenades, and syringe, and make sure you always have a way out.

Gunslinger is one of if not the best perk in the game; it's fast, it has high damage, high firerate, and a decent amount of ammo. It's reliance on headshots and weak tier 1 also makes it very difficult to use, so you'll want to practice and get used to hipfiring.

Firebug is easy as long as you have one of the flamer weapons(caulk'n'burn, flamethrower, microwave gun). You should have one of these on you at all times as they combo with groundfire at level 10 and heatwave at level 20 to make you almost untouchable(even against Hans's charge).

Survivalist is pretty mediocre on paper, but the boomstick+RPG combo can keep most baddies at bay easily. Your choice of M14 or Katana will depend on what range you want to fight trash at; the M14 will make you able to fight trash at a distance, but will also necessitate taking molotovs, while the katana will force you into melee range, but will also mean you can get healing grenades.

I'd argue commando is easy for the waves solo, but not for the boss.
depends what difficulty and what map
-at normal any class at lvl 15 can solo easy
-at hard any class at lvl 25 can solo easy as well
-at suicidal every class except firebug and demo since they require either too far ranged or too close ranged in order to be effective
-at HoE stick with berserker, medic, or gunslinger if you can aim. You can go for sharpshooter but you'll need to practice running and headshot gunning, which is better done as a gunslinger since you get more ammo.
survivalist is a wild card but if you can learn how to multi-weapon task then it can actually be played on all gamemodes

Without knowing the map, zerk. Zerk can handle any map, like catacombs, where solo GS will get obliterated even in the hands of a skilled player. If the map is more open and like farm or Paris, then add medic and GS to the list.

medic can actually benefit from enclosed areas though but i do agree the more open the map the better for medic and GS

Yeah, I agree medic isn't that hard to do catacombs either, since he has nades that can take out 30 zeds at a time while he heals himself if he gets cornered. So zerk or medic for any map. Add GS for open maps.
