How to open stuff...?

So i can only get one item every 24 hours (12 hours if i could play in the morning, which i cant), and the pool of items are all crates, each with its own unique key... How many years would i have to play to get keys for the two crates ive been awarded?

You have to buy the keys from the shop

You can also craft them down to Crafting Material by clicking on the item and pressing "Recycle"

Theres so many different types im not sure i could even find them in the shop! xD

Well, you could just go into the game, check your inventory and click on a Chest/USB you want to open. If you attempt to and have no key for the respective C/USB you can directly buy one. The game will show you the exact Key you need for the thing to open in the Steam Market. Oh btw, you can only buy keys one by one afaik, dunno why theres no packages for more keys but whatever.
Once tho I got a Key for which I cant remember paying for. Maybe it was a buggy drop? Or is there an actual small chance you get a key as a drop?

You can't get keys as drops. And never, ever buy the keys in the market. If you open the game and go to the store tab at the top of the home screen you'll see a section labeled 'items'. There you can scroll through and find the key you need. The game store sells them for $2.49 (uses your steam wallet). If you buy them in the market it's going to be over $3. I didn't know this the first few times I opened crates and I kept buying them through the market. SMH.
