Cache
Hi!

I'd like to ask the devs that the KF2 cache directory on C: can be cleaned sometimes because it's getting a little too big. 10Gb in hundreds of files on a system drive is not a healthy thing. I always install my stuff on other drives preventing app-littering (OS does enough rubbish in itself). Is there a method, like name or creaton date with i may purge these files. KF1 had the same problem when after a few years a 5 gigs game had nearly 20 gigs logs accompanied with, but those was safe to be cleaned.
Please, any information is welcomed!

I never knew about that file but you can put the file in "Read only" to prevent that.

10GB is actually not that bad.

40+ GB (ARK, I'm looking at you) is f***ing horrible.

I would never care if it puts them where the game is installed but no, it litters my precious system disk.

-It stores your settings and configurations as well as all custom maps and mods.

Thank you for answering!
Config is fine but all the mods? They should be better laying in install dir. So if i understand well your words better not to touch those 10 gigs of cache at all.

-You could probably just delete it and any maps you downloaded from servers will go away (if you're really concerned). Then redo your settings. When you launch the game anything you've subscribed to will re-download.

Hello,
it also hinders me this 20GB file on my system drive SSD. So it's impossible to change the location of this folder?

This has been asked before and I may know one way. You could go to properties of My Documents and under Location click Move and select another drive.
