Cross-platform?

Will this game ever go cross-platform like its predecessor?
I would love to be able to play with my woman, as she doesn't like playing games on PC.
EDIT: KF1 isn't actually cross-platform. I was mislead by the cross-platform tag on the store page.

Given that KF1 was a PC-exclusive, you're asking "Is this game doing X exactly like the previous one, not at all"? In which case, yes, it will not be cross-platform. Given that the PS4 is already not compatible with the PC right now (as they don't have the Summer Sideshow content) and the PS4 doesn't have any custom content support, it's pretty clear that it won't happen.

That's Steamplay - as KF1 also ran on Linux systems and, I think, Mac. And those are compatible with each other. That's not crossplatform, however.

I think the PS4 version is also balanced differently from the PC version so they simply wouldn't be compatible.

In addition, Sony are not keen on cross-platform. They've said no for Rocket League and Minecraft.

Actually Mac and PC are 2 different platforms.

Not for a crossplatform release - in that case, they're both considered the same platform.

She used to. We used to play a lot of PC games together but her PC is outdated and she doesn't want to part with the money for a new one. I offered to buy her one but nay. Since then she's just grown partial to our PS4 so whatevs. Ain't gunna tell her what to like lol.

I don't really blame her either, I really like PS4 too. Bloodborne is imo one of the top 5 greatest games ever made.

Fair enough, I bought a PS4 for Uncharted and Bloodborne myself [though I am yet to finish Bloodborne]. Plus the few split screen games that console offer are solid when it comes to playing with the lady :D
