Administrator Console Commands

Im curious as to why the Console (~) allows only adminlogin and adminsay. I've tested all other commands on two servers now and they do not work. Am I doing something wrong, or are these commands placeholders as I have read elsewhere? If so, why? It is quite helpful for admins running a server that is not also the local machine to have those commands available for mapchanges and even kick/ban if needed.

That said, thank you for an amazing game TW. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with next.

You mean you trying commands like Kick, PlayerList, KickBan etc and getting "unrecognized command" error?

I think all admin commands should begin with "Admin"

Admin RestartMap

You are correct, you need the "admin" infront of the command, and ofc, remember to login with admin password first.

Admin commands don't work and never have, far as I can remember. You'll need to use Web Admin.

My advice is to hook up a second monitor for Web Admin so you don't have to alt tab to the desktop. I have heard of some using Steam overlay to access Web Admin as well. You can set your homepage to the server's address in your Steam settings.

To the folks above, I am logged in and my spelling is correct. That said, Zach, were using an offsite server. Having researched it before posting here I found what you have said, they have never worked. As far as i know if it is not next to you and or ran on the same machine you are playing on you cannot access the WebAdmin page (I could be completely wrong though). While we can tunnel to that server via VPN it is much more difficult to do so as compared to using commands in console.


It appears that these commands are placeholders and do not work in console. While I dislike callouts, it would be nice to have Tripwire drop in with advice or comment.

First and only bump, it would be nice for some sort of advice here.

You should always be able to access Web Admin, even if the server is on a vps. Make sure it's enabled in KFWeb.ini and the port 8080 tcp is enabled. Enter the ipaddress:port in your browser and it will open Web Admin. Tunneling not needed.

If enabled on the server, you can also use the 'pause' command to pause the game if logged in as admin. Then proceed to alt+tab and kick/ban/w.e you want to do.
