Why can't I create a new game so I can play with friends?

It used to work about a year ago, but now I can't seem to get it to work. If I have matchmaking set to creat new game or friends only, it either doesn't allow me to have a lobby or makes a public lobby on Biotics Lab. I wanna know if there's a way around this so I can play custom maps with friends, like Horizine Arena or a Payday theme map.

Um, there is no play with friends only function. You can party up with then and go from there. Since you are joining a server someone else owns. Unless you'd thinking your friends can join your solo game which they can't in kf2 as far as I know.

The matchmaking function gives you the option to have a friends only, private + password, or public. It isn't the server browser.

Oh, look, I can choose to create a new game or look for games in lobbies only.

Oh, look, it makes "new game" the only and default option for friends-only-games

So, what is your problem again? That things work exactly like you want them to?
Just choose the settings you want and create a new game that way.

What exactly do you think I've been doing. It either puts me in a server that's public or doesn't work.

Well, that should give you the obvious conclusion:
Matchmaking is still broken (as it has been basically since forever) and there is nothing that can be done about it besides hosting your own server with a password on it.

For me when i make a private game it says Searching for online game and does nothing.

You guys could try filtering the browser for empty games and choosing the lowest ping you can.

And that's a problem since i really just want to play with me and my friend.

Get more friends, then? People can't join when the server is full. :P

You're actually unable to create a game.
So, why is it even an option?
get this game back to early acces or fix this crap

Step 1: Gather 6 people (So, 5 of your friends plus you)
Step 2: Open Serverbrowser
Step 3: Join an empty server
Step 4: Play only with the mentioned friends

And most people use the serverbrowser.

Matchmaking has been weird since last update, my friends and I are also having a lot of trouble starting games. It always says No servers found or No games match the filters.

What filters, I'm trying to start a private game ffs.
