Cant play on custom map servers

USed to have no problem

Now i try and join a custom map server, it usually starts with saying either "error-not a workshop file" or "connection times out" (my connection is fine)
Attempting to try again always gives me "Duplicate UID"
Any ideas?

Custom maps are what keep me coming back to the game

Does that happen on any custom map server? Any map? Some map files are large and there's a bug where it won't display download percentage. Duplicate UID basically means you're connected to the server but not actually in it. When you try to join again, it won't let you because it thinks you're there. Haven't seen the error "error-not a workshop file" yet, is that what it said word for word? Seems like a server issue anyway.

"Downloading Package [map name] failed: Not A Workshop File" is the word for word

Some servers work, most dont

Try my server 209.248.95.185:8080 if it doesn't work, must be something on your end.

I am going to assume it's his connection to steam, because he keeps metioning workshop and a lot of servers have migrated to that instead of classic redirects for content.

It could be a map specific issue, server side issue, or an issue on your end. We don't know. I'd delete the cache folder from My Documents > MyGames > KillingFloor2 and try again. Try other servers we listed too. Try getting friend to join the same server and see if they experience it. Troubleshoot the problem.

Mismatch error means the map file the server has installed doesn't match map file from the location you're downloading it from.

I don't think you have tried every server though.
